@littlewaves
a quick something because i recently realized Usopp and Vivi are just as important as Zoro and Sanji re: Luffy's aspirations to become Pirate King
like..... they're opposites in a way that parallels Zoro and Sanji, but also still places Luffy as their midpoint! and when put together they represent the four quadrants of captainship Luffy has to learn and maintain in order to become pirate king!! it's gotten to a point where i can't look at the monster trio without also seeing the mark Usopp and Vivi left behind on their dynamic (because it's all right there in the text!)
Imagine an aokaga wedding and Aomine's vows being those viral tiktok ones
"And when I die don't bury me with a football a jersey or a whistle, put a picture of you in my pocket so I can show everyone in heaven who made me a better man"
It's so funny being a shipper when you're aroace it's like you're an anthropologist, like hey fictional blorbos who live in my head let me study your bonds under a microscope and take notes on what happens when I throw Valentines Day into your enclosure
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

your bookcase booth sounds so cute, i love it!! for pulling people in, you gotta do a prize wheel. super fun and easy to make cheap. just get a cheap spinner or diy one with cardboard plus fastener. sections like “free bookmark!”, “mystery sticker pack”, “book rec”, “1 free raffle entry”, or silly ones like “read the first page of a random book”. people spin after they chat with you or make a bookmark.
also mini library swap or take one leave one is perfect. set up a cute little tray or basket with gently used paperbacks. sign that says “take a book, leave a book (or a note!)” with some wrapped blind dates mixed in. it keeps things moving and gets everyone talking about what theyre reading.
Totally forgot to answer on time but we did in fact do both of your ideas dear anon thank you so much! The little free library type of stall was so loved by people, we have like 4 new members which is insane for how small of a club we are. You have so much love from all of us!
Shipping characters with Usopp is fun because Usopp has a sense of dedicated pathetic vulnerability that every other character has too much self respect to stoop to. Thus, by virtue of witnessing such vulnerability, whoever you ship him with is forced to be vulnerable in turn and expose new elements of their character they likely try to repress or hide away. It's how these character react to this new found vulnerability that allows for interesting storytelling!
IT'S STILL MAY SO I MADE IT IN TIME FOR MERMAY
if i was in mdzs id rather die than fumble that jc bag, amen.
Idk man there is something so beautiful about Aomine×Kagami, something about Kagami saving Aomine from his despair and depression, something about the fact that they're equals in everything and eachother's saving grace. They are so hurt/comfort coded let alone rivals to lovers. I just love them together🫠
I'm screaming omg that's so cool
the antagonists™
No bc the casting for these three is immaculate. (Shanks too)

Endlessly diabolical how you can't say words like rape and suicide uncensored without either being criticised by idiots or punished by conglomerates.
It's not r*pe, it's rape. It's not su*cide, it's suicide. Not unalive, dead. The backbone needs to be reintroduced en masse because softening the blow of these concepts with advertising language does absolutely nothing but allow people unaffected by them to feel not even a sting of what they can do, prompting inaction.
And it's been proven that on certain websites, you don't even face a repercussion for using the words as they are. People just started censoring themselves because they feared the potential lack of views and likes and followers which is so nasty itself.
I attended an anti-suicide seminar in college. One of the big takeaways from it was that stigmatizing suicide increases the rate of suicide, because people who are feeling suicidal feel like they can't ask for help. Every time I see babytalk garbage like 'unalive', I think of that.
Use the real words. Words have power, and they matter.
I cry every time I hear about Artemis man, I feel so proud to live at the same time as something like this
I've been thinking that ASOIAF and One piece fall kinda in the same category in terms of perhaps it's best they remain unfinished, both stories have such impact in their respective communities and in fandom world that them ending would leave this huge gap that can't really be filled with anything.
Also it's impossible to write something for a fan base this big that will satisfy every single one of the fans - and while yes that might be impossible in general, there are media that achieve it or something pretty close.
