been getting an influx of notes about how much people like my aac user rocky doodles so i banged out a couple more

#i think the hc ive settled on is that he can still verbally speak eridian but uses aac to communicate with grace in english #and grace downloaded aac software onto a tablet from the hail mary for him #he uses a symbol based system so he doesnt have to actually learn written english and he navigates all the buttons scary quickly #so like basically hes using the translator like in the movie except he operates it all himself #project hail mary #phm #rocky phm #human rocky #humanoid rocky #rocktiz #ortizrocky #my art #image id in alt

old wip from when i first started thinking about bloodymary

the idea was that grace and simon start falling asleep next to each other (as a "we're the only 2 humans for a scary amount of distance" thing or to make watching easier) and the cosmic horror-ness following simon makes them start dreamsharing

i did not expect so many people to love this concept as much as me holy shit...

adding on (partially because someone asked) that simon's "you saw me" is meant to be like. you saw the real me. the me that changed in the sub. simon looks human at first glance but if you stare at him too long he gets kinda dreamlike and uncanny. if you see him out of the corner of your eye he won't look human in the slightest. (he probably sounds weird to eridians but they don't have enough basis for variation in humans to know just how weird he really is)

i think more than once grace would wake up to simon moving around like that scene with nikki in obsession lol. but he's not like. genuinely demonic or anything. he's still simon. being simon just doesn't entirely include being human anymore
