not to be controversialĀ youāre not aĀ āradical feministā. youāre an asshole.Ā āradicalā is surfer dude talk forĀ ācoolā, which is what trans exclusion is not, and itās not feminism unless youāre supporting ALL WOMEN
Radical in this case actually means the root, as in, the root of female oppression. And we arent trans exclusionary, we are male exclusionary. :)
the thing aboutĀ āradicalā was meant to be taken as a joke
and no, youāre not supporting all women. take women who do things that you guys see asĀ ādegradingā that they enjoy doing
and people like you define women by their bodies which sounds ODDLY SIMILAR to the patriarchy
Woman = adult human female. Nothing degrading about saying that. And itās not patriarchal to know what words mean, but alright.
Iāve seen a lot of you guys say that sex work is degrading even though itās consensual (in most cases) and the same with hijab
sex work aka getting raped for a living is degrading and will forever be. and the hijab is misogynistic, it creates the idea that women are dirty and must be covered up in a manās presence.
culture thriving off of the commodification and sexualization of womenās bodies and culture thriving off of the degradation of womenās bodies are both just two sides of the misogyny coin.
sex. work. is. consensual. i believe that real feminism is letting women do what they want with their bodies and themselves, and not being forced to do anything they donāt.
90% of prostitutes want to leave their job. 99% of prostitutes are subjected to violence.
this is what youāre advocating for. violence against women. youāre not a feminist.
if you wanna read more, hereās a masterpost which has some good reads.
thanks for informing me of these statistics. I didnāt know this. I still donāt think of myself as aĀ āradicalā feminist, but Iāll do some reading when I have the chance.
