Embroidery by roniy1983
My summer project for myself is to make a collection of 16 of these embroidered thimble rings (called kaga yubinuki), these are my first 2 ^^
using this as an opportunity to add this link to this post too:
Thank you for coming back to my blog after so long a leave (again). I plan to update my blog at least once a month but as you see it has be
really clear, written instructions that explain the why as well as the how. there's a lot of beautiful, simple designs on her blog as well!
I've been posting about these a lot more on my Instagram btw! @ fibrescribbles
in the last image you can see the second one i made (last summer!), and as you can see, I've used it a lot! I've been using my new one (the orange and green) for these 4 and it's holding up great so far ^^

My boyfriend and I went to a mug making class for my birthday! His is the DnD style shield mug and mine is the mushroom mug with the swirled sky. I can't wait to see how they come out of the kiln and to do the glazing!
Posting for my own progress -> started on July 28th 2025

[Image ID: four gifs of someone holding a piece of embroidery art of the character Sophie from the anime film Howl's Moving Castle sitting at a table and sewing. The embroidery art has a mechanism which allows a person to manually crank a small rotating lever from behind the embroidery art, making Sophie's arm rotate, appearing as though she is really sewing with the needle and thread in her hand.]
Some close-ups of the dinos! The three layers broken out -- sky, land, and sea -- and some spotlights on my fave lil dudes, including the chonky and spiralsaw-jaw sharks, the toothy T.rexies, the not-so-Littlefoot, and an orange Nessie! (Pattern by UnaBuenaPieza.)

Arctic Majesty: New Polar Bear Cross Stitch Pattern! ❄️
Hello, explorers and craft enthusiasts! Are you ready to capture the serene, icy beauty of the North Pole? I’m so excited to unveil my brand-new Polar Bear cross stitch pattern!
There is something truly breathtaking about the Arctic—the way the sunlight hits the snow and the quiet power of its most famous resident. When designing this piece, I really wanted to play with those "cool" tones. It was such a fun challenge to use different shades of white and blue to bring out the texture of the bear's fur against a shimmering icy backdrop. Did you know polar bears actually have black skin underneath all that fur? It’s those little details of nature that make them so fascinating to stitch!
This pattern is a wonderful choice for anyone who loves winter landscapes, wildlife conservation, or just wants to add a touch of "Arctic cool" to their home decor. Whether you’re stitching it for a modern nursery or a cozy winter gallery wall, this design brings a sense of calm and wonder to every stitch.
Check out my entire collection of more than 3500 unique and inspiring cross stitch patterns here!
I don’t like specific lists of things to accomplish in a year so I don’t vibe with make9s or long term project planning BUT I do love checking off squares and marking off things I did so I’m trying bingo.
No specific patterns or designs, theoretically fiber craft agnostic, hopefully a good mix of being encouraged to try new things without being overly prescriptive about it.
Please play along if you’d like. Interpret the entries in whatever way makes this process most enjoyable for you.
#fiber arts bingo <- tag that I will be tracking
This was my first time stitching on linen and it is a very different experience from stitching on aida cloth. I’m glad I have some other projects lined up and can take a break from linen for a bit before I continue with this series.
