On the status of what’s going on
I’ll admit, it’s a lot to wrap my head around. Beings that came from long ago that were- are- terrifying creatures that pretty much are like the plot of Alien Vs Predator. Except this time, the Aliens are Vampires, and Predators are... Pillar Men.
It’s been a few years now that I’ve been a part of the force; Franklin’s hair is already graying and I’m an actual member, badge and detective number included. It’s hard to believe that I once was a trainee, and a sorry shithead of one at that. But now, I’ve been examining myself. I know that my stand, [St. Jimmy], could and can probably do more than just inject vibrations into people or objects, and punch hard enough to shatter whole walls. But I want my power to do more, not just to hurt, but to protect.
The case right now? Well, it’s about this organization. Originally a part of the Speedwagon Foundation, the Van Halen underground was the Batman to the S.P.W’s Superman. If Batman was willing to take care of whatever the squeaky clean S.P.W.’s messes. Especially the dirty ones. Dr. Veredis Quo, an experimental scientist from S.P.W, and I have been investigating an old hideout now a department store, and with careful sleuthing, we found a skeleton in a wall. Now,
But that’s not all. There’s also Yutu.
Yutu is one of these Pillar Men, a female with a brother- robbed from us from a group called Humanz. She’s been under lock and key ever since we discovered her at the Stage City Art Museum of Culture. It’s been weird, but I can’t help but feel a little inkling of pity for her. She's smart, and can be an interesting person to talk to. She likes music; I gave her some of my old CDs and a player I’ve had in my Storage Room since... who knows when. I’ve also given her a little radio too. In a way, it feels nice to give away some of my old stuff- I hardly use it, so why not take it? Besides, there are other users within the SPW that’s been teaching her how we lesser humans do things.
But I can’t shake this feeling that, if we set her off, she wouldn’t hesitate to kill us in an instant. Maybe it’s these jitters, but I’m just not ready to trust her completely.
P.S. I might have given Yutu something that was never supposed to leave my possession.
