One thing I specifically adore in Scrooge : A Christmas Carol is the visual implication of the chains Scrooge accumulates over time.

In his younger version you can already see reoccurring chainlink patterns on his vest and even his cravat pin, whereas the pattern on his older version’s robes is already way more tiled - showing how the chains of his greed grew in length and amount.

There are way more chain patterns hidden throughout the movie but I particularly love that they showed it metaphorically through his clothing. It’s not something you notice immediately but once you do it’s an amazing detail.
