The idea is that The Unknown is one single car, and no one knows how to find the exit. Many passengers have gotten stuck there over the years, and eventually just settled down and had children who were destined to live their entire lives on the train. The Beast would just be a really fucked up denizen.

Because it's so insulated, much of the attire, architecture, and technology remains unchanged from the passengers' time periods, even though time passes on the train as normal. Beatrice would still be dressed for the Regency era even though in this setting, she would've been born around the same time as Wirt.

I like the idea that Wirt's number changes erratically with his moods, and Greg's doesn't change at all until the very end. Wirt and Greg would somehow manage to get their exits at the same time :)

I think that for every episode of bake off that has a foreign country as a theme there should be a special third judge that is just a grandma of that nationality and they should be equipped with an air horn they can toot in paul hollywood’s smug face whenever he confidently says something completely incorrect about a bake’s construction, flavour, texture, etc etc

EDIT: If you're still having problems, it might help to switch from "Save/Save as" to "Export (as a) Single Layer". Just. Make SURE the box labeled "Expression Color" is set to RGB. I've been messing with this all day, and it looks like this combination of settings will allow exported PNGs to maintain their colors perfectly. To you. So far both Discord and Toyhouse still only display desaturated images and I cannot for the life of me figure out why

ive been noticing the EXACT SAME PROBLEM whenever i would export an image from procreate and it drove me CRAZY that my art would desaturate all the time. anyway, if you're in a canvas, go to settings > canvas > canvas information > color profile

once youre in color profile, if your current color profile is display P3, CHANGE IT!!!!!! it is desaturating your colors. you're gonna want to change it to sRGB IEC6 1966-2.1 instead

if you're starting a new canvas, you can just go to color profile and change it that way. im SO grateful for this post for giving me the push i needed to experiment with procreate files and finally see what was changing my art to be so desaturated

anyway yeah. tldr if youre using procreate, make sure your color profile is sRBG IEC6 1966-2.1

Here's how it works when subtitles are done properly:

Audio: Let's BEEP go! Subtitle: Let's (censor tone) go!

Audio: Let's fucking go! Subtitle: Let's fucking go!

Removing swears and slurs from the subtitles without removing it from the audio is implying that deaf/HoH people need babying, unlike their hearing friends and family sitting right next to them. Which is frustrating.

The point of subtitles is to give the same experience to everyone watching, regardless of ability—not to be a more palatable version of what's being said.

I reblogged this a few days ago, and then yesterday someone in my family had a baby, so I was talking to my mom about it. And the convo turned into her sharing little pregnancy facts with me. Like how babies get oxygen and nutrients while in the womb.

Which led to her saying, “but that’s also why, if you drink alcohol, the baby is drinking it too. If you do drugs, the baby is doing them too.”

And I thought of this picture. And I said “when you light up, so does he.” And my mom said “yes”

and I said “hell yeah white baby.”

and then I had to apologize to my mom for saying “hell yeah white baby.”
