WHAT THE FUCK

I have no words to express the abject horror that’s coursing through my veins right now. I’m nauseous, I’m on the verge of tears. What kind of world are we living in that a rape victim is told the only way to deal with her trauma is to kill herself? This is a tragedy. Noa experienced something truly traumatic and terrible. She needed help. Not death. Death only causes more pain for her family and friends. Death robs her of the possibility of healing. For us as a society to say “we don’t know how to help you, you’re better off dead” is for us as a society to say “rape has won.” If this is where we want society to go, then we need to take a good long look at ourselves and ask if we’re actually pushing for quality of life, or if we want things to be easy.

Noa, I’m sorry. Society has failed you.

May God have mercy on us all.

If you actually would know anything about this case.. Then you would know it was not about society saying that ‘she was better off dead’..

This was an extremely rare, heartbreaking and complicated case, as all cases around euthanasia are.

The system failed her.. Big time. But it failed her long before her decision to euthanize..

But that is in no way am excuse for you to use her pain and her trauma to push your own agenda. Noa decided for herself that her pain was unbearable and that she did not want to live anymore. The doctors and psychologists listened to her and what she wanted. She met all the criteria and was determined about her decision.

It is not like this was carried oud in a week or so.. This is a case that had been on going for months. To make sure there was no other way to help her. She stopped eating and drinking on her own. And her parents did not want to force her to go through any more forced treatment. Cause she had been treated for her trauma, for years.. Willingly and forced alike and she was just done. It is horrible, it is heartbreaking. But it is in no way the case that you describe it to be…

@im-okay-with-my-crazy You are utterly confused if you think the people who want everyone to heal are the ones pushing an agenda. That's literally BEING HUMAN. You need to do some serious reading from people who actually write advice in good faith and not these poisonous secular "experts," because they have got you believing extremely vile lies. This is never defensible, her case is not unique in human history, it is only unique for its modern day precedent setting which is why it made the news.

To be human is to suffer, we can never defend giving up instead of healing. Don't even get me started on how someone whose brain hasn't fully developed shouldn't be making life or death decisions!
