Do you think his captors ever interacted with him? It's implied or maybe outright written that they kept him in that dark box void of everything his entire imprisonment, but do you think he ever saw them, or heard them? Do you think they spoke over him like he was just another inert statue slated to be destroyed, or taunted him with the fact that the pirates were dead, that he was never leaving the glass cage.

Or do you think it was purely nothingness? Gauzy blackness and four smooth walls and absolute stillness for endless hours. Prolonged solitary confinement is considered torture, because of the effects on the mind. Yeosang doesn't know how long he was kept. Still, like a caged bird. It could have been weeks. It could have been months.

The only thing that could, maybe, break up the monotony would be a Guardian's cruelty. But there's no reason to believe he received anything but the coldness of glass. Cruelty is an emotion, and emotions are banned in Strictland.
