Stupid question, but if you have a friend hold onto a villager for you and then you reset your town, would you still have to go through the 16 villager cycle before getting them back? Thanks for your time ♡

Well I noticed your status on the side says that he will be moving out. Do you let people come in and get villagers that are moving out?

Sorry, another thing to note on having Butch moving out, he moved out already but I want him back. Would I have to cycle through the 16 villagers in the shopping district?

Yes, if Butch has moved out, you will need to cycle 16 villagers out (meaning 16 villagers need to move out after Butch) before you can take Butch back from anyone. Hope that helps!

Hi! Thanks for your villager reset trick explanation, it's helped me a lot to get villagers I wanted. I have question though: can I get a past villager back? I've cycled through 16 villagers since Lopez moved and now I'm trying to get him back with the reset trick but he just isn't showing up. I keep getting Smugs (Julian, Curlos, Shep, etc.) but no Lopez. And no Henry either, who moved out way before Lopez did... So I'm starting to think it doesn't work for past villagers. Can you help? Thx :)

I'm not sure honestly, I haven't come by that problem in any guides I've read. It might be so, unfortunately. Perhaps as an alternative you'd like to try adopting Lopez from someone on animal crossing community or bell tree forums. They're all very helpful, nice people! :)

Hey! Sorry if this is dumb, but when it comes to the reset trick, how do I ensure that no current villagers will move out?

No worries! There is no such thing as a dumb question. It is only safe to reset when you have only 8 villagers because no villagers will move out when you're at 8 :) If you're at 9 and don't want to go lower, use the campsite reset trick. Since there's no time lapse no villager will move out. Hope that helped!

About the villager reset trick, I'm looking for Diana and I've been having problem. I've been doing both the campsite and the rest trick and it seems to go nowhere. How long did it take for you to get your dremie?

It's really random and it depends on your luck. It can take 2-8 hours. If you don't have time to burn you can try looking for giveaways on ACC or Bell tree forums :)

Hi c: I just came across your guide abt the villager reset trick, and I have a question for you. I've reset 5 times bc the placement was bad and on the 6th and 7th tries, there was no plot in town anymore. Should I continue to reset or at this point has the game decided to wait? Should I save the character I've made and continue trying another day? Thanks so much ~

Sorry about the late reply!! The notification email went to spam :\ You can save the character if you want, this will increase chances of another lot the next day. Or you can continue resetting.

Okay! I have AC:NL. I told Olaf not to move away, thus keeping myself with nine villagers. Then kept playing. Now I have some peppy rabbit called Pippy moving in without my knowledge, and OF COURSE she's moved into a bad spot. What gives?!

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this until now. You could've gotten Pippy via wifi with your friends or even Streetpass. They fill up your tenth spot.
