Everyone* can now gain skill points, enthusiasm, and badges everywhere.
It doesn't matter if you are a townie or neighboor on a residentual lot or a playable sim or a townie on a community lot. You will gain points (aka knowledge). 🎉🔨📝📚📖🛡🎖🥇🥈🥉
For years I used Pescado's comm-skilling mod. Until I modded a crafting station this spring for @yoursingrey (unreleased) and ran into massive problems.
We wanted functionality similar to @gummilutt awesome Autonomous Crafting for Teens/Adults/Elders on all lots mod. (here)
It took me a while to realize that it was not the coding I did for the crafting station, but Pescado's mod—some situations were still not allowed.
So, I went over the code with a fine-tooth comb. In addition, I separated out the three systems.
You can now choose what you like:
Skilling, Enthusiasm, and/or Badge gain.
It is a global mod. It will cause a lot reset when put into or removed from the game. Always run the HCDU after adding a mod to your game to search for potential conflicts.
(*)critical NPCs, Dead Sims or Service Persons (NPC, person type 0x0104:02) are not affected. Feedback apprechiated if you find strange behavior, critical problems etc.

Simler90 did something very similar, but you need the Ticket Mashine on the lot. get it here: MTS.
Squine has a mod that only allows the selected sim to gain points.
