psa: dpdr is more than just “spacing out” !
not being able to make connections with your friends and family even though you so desperetly try
staring at said friends and family having to convince yourself that theyre real
knowing what youre supposed to be feeling but never being able to grasp that emotion because its so distant
becoming very self destructive because youre not real so why not?
looking at your pets and wanting to cry because you miss them even though theyre right in front of you but you cant feel them
feeling so alone and isolated
having literally no sense of self and creating a new person every 2 months to try and compensate
having no strings attaching yourself to the world so its so easy to think about leaving it
thinking youre going insane
forgetting everything. memory becomes non existent.
looking down at your hand and thinking “whos are these”
wanting to sleep all the fucking time because you dont have to exist then
a lot easier to imagine ending things when youre watching yourself in the third person
always having a fogged up thick glass wall between you and everything, including your thoughts/feelings
freaking the fuck out because “its not real, im not real, whats real. please help. help”
wanting to feel anything, everything. just make the numb go away
getting angry when people say “i wish i could feel nothing” because no, you fucking dont
blurry vision/distorted vision and depth perception
never knowing what time it is because you thought it was two o’ clock five min ago but it was an hour ago
always feeling out of place
not caring if your friends will leave you because you cant feel the difference
dpdr makes people think theyre going insane. its much worse than just spacing out
