i miss the initial scribbly sketch for siffrin dipping isabeau pfsdjkthkj that box siffrin is standing on is so good!!!

some extra reflection-type thoughts:

with some of my attempts at isafrin, i feel like i'm performing an idea of them rather than conveying their relationship as i may personally see it - like i've replaced them with actors, showing something fabricated and surface level with "how it's supposed to go" to appease an imaginary audience

looking at those ones makes me uncomfortable - "good" or "bad", i like my art best when it is true. though, i suppose they are still true to me in that they show the effect of, like, amatonormativity or something (??) on how i interact with characters. it causes me to throw them into the This Is A Romantic Relationship(TM) dungeons

such reflections overall make me think: art is so cool and fun!!!! i really love making stuff!!!!!!!

idk I just think happy queer stories need to be properly labeled so I can be warned beforehand to not get invested in the main ship because there won't be a culminating catharsis of mutual corruption and self-betrayal crystalizing into an inevitable murder-suicide :/ . like I don't think happy endings in queer media shouldn't be "allowed" to exist or whatever I just think tbh honestly to be honest that those creators need to think and be more responsible and let me have my boundary of nottttt wanting to see that. this is because I feel it's really important for me to see myself represented and reflected positively on screen and the real truth of my lived experience is that I'm gay and evil and I'm not going to make it.
