Fun Fact:

If you look at the four shrines on the Great Plateau in Breath of the Wild, you can find a cool easter egg hidden within! The hand placement and positions of monks Oman Au, Ja Baij, Keh Namut, and Owa Daim can be lined up together to reveal a hidden triforce.

Oman Au (the creator of the Mangesis trial) holds the top triangle, that which represents strength and divine power.

Ja Baij (the creator of the Bomb trial) forms the triangle on the bottom right, which represents bravery and courage.

Keh Namut (the creator of the Cryonis trial) builds the bottom left triangle, which represents wisdom and knowledge.

Finally, Owa Daim (the monk of the Stasis trial) creates the inner triangle, which is empty space in the center of the original triforce.

Together, all four monks form the triforce---the ultimate symbol of The Legend of Zelda! Take a look here as well to see it more clearly:

Here he is! The true protagonist of the Legend of Groose, Tears of the Grooseland

It was super fun to try and superimpose an animalistic face onto his character, but I hope I did a good job encompassing his beauty lol. I’ll probably draw him again with granny Impa!

We only really know what 2.5 of the Zonai looked like, and two of them are related while the aspect might not even be Zonai at all. So! I figured I could add some variation in hair and fur color. Also, I added my own headcanon that Zonai usually don’t have a third eye unless they are sages or blessed by the goddesses, the same way how Ganon only devilish once he had his own secret stone. In this AU, only Zelda and later Link gain third eyes as they embark on their quests, while those Zonai who used to serve the living Hylia like Impa paint on their third eyes, a tradition carried on through to the modern Sheikah

Some more Skyward Sword Zonai AU doodles!

The struggle with Skyloft is that it’s so colorful, yet the Zonai architecture of TOTK is all white marble. But! Stone is a lot more durable than, say, paint and fabrics, so it could be that a lot like Ancient Rome and Greece, Zonai architecture was once incredibly colorful! There is even a little evidence for this in the BOTW exclusive Zonai ruins, as the rock there appears to have red, white, blue, and yellow tinted rocks interspersed with the green.

However, since Skyloft is only an island, its inhabitance would not be able to mine for more Zoanite to make new contraptions. Hence, construct Scrapper not working anymore, the jewelry being made of wood and not zoanite, and the slow decline of the island over time necessitating the return to the surface.
