One of the things that I find interesting about wolves is that they can represent so many different things. Even within the same culture they can have multiple, contradictory meanings. I think that’s why wolves are so iconic, why they’re such enduring figures in many cultures.

The wolf is a large predator. It can represent strength and power… But, they’re not the biggest predators. They can still be the underdog, who need their intelligence to survive.

The wolf has often been a threat to livestock and sometimes even human safety. The wolf can be a villain. But, we know that the threat they present has often been exaggerated. The wolf can be a misunderstood and unfairly maligned figure.

The wolf lives and works in family packs. Together, they can take down larger prey than any one wolf can alone. The wolf represents teamwork and family. But, wolf packs do have hierarchies. The image of the pack leader is an appealing one, as is the image of the lone wolf who, against the odds, survives without the pack.

The wolf is a wild animal, rarely seen in developed urban and suburban places. It’s a good symbol for wilderness. But, the wolf is the progenitor of our beloved domestic dogs. So there’s a sense of kinship there.

The wolf can take on so many different roles. That, along with their social behavior, makes them easy to anthropomorphize. They feel very human, compared to most wild animals. That inspires a lot of stories.

In conclusion, the wolf is a land of contrasts.

If Ashley can surive homelander, the fucking deep even, Sage has a chance. Hell she's aroind because Homelander misses people challenging him just enough to not get lasered beam within seconds.

He says he wants to be challenged, but he's pretty clearly bothered when it happens. The dude has a temper and a minor thing can push him over the edge. Plus, I get the feeling that Sage has an agenda of her own. If that agenda contradicts what Homelander wants, and he realizes what she's up to, she's screwed. That said, I agree that she has a chance of surviving.

I love Carol and the end of the world, just for the fact that it's protagonist reminds that it's okay to be me. It's fine not having to define your happiness on grand gestures, and extravagant spending. Going to the movie alone at times, just relaxing in the food court with a meal and a video, simply talking to your friends for hours can be just as a great time.

But also someone that struggles with connecting to others, overwhelmed by the need of everyone around them to constantly prove themselves and feel special, that even bringing a little attention to yourself feels terrifying.

I just watched "Sisters," and it just reminded me how much people can insult you in the name of a 'good deed'. That although their intentions can be kind, their actions can be hurtful, expecting you to do things the way they want to.
