okay so you start this show kind of as a Bit with your friends where you’re like oh my god we should watch the gay hockey sex show lol and wait actually it’s fuuun so you start investigating the actors to see what their deal is and one of them you immediately melt over when you realize he’s a gorgeous earnest gay boy clown with a childhood youtube account and the other one is a bit more of an enigma until a bunch of press videos drop in really quick succession clearly filmed in big batches that make for great I’ll-say-whatever-the-fuck-I’m-thinking-we’ve-been-filming-these-all-day conditions and the other one makes it clear at EVERY opportunity that he is willing to say anything do anything entertain anything that will result in the most provocative answer and like half the time it doesn’t even make sense but he’s so fully committed to it and steamrolling any attempt to make him backpedal or weird him out by going FURTHER and doubling down on this commitment to outfreak and he’s also juuust glancing at the edge of being too cocky to tolerate and within the next few days in addition to all this footage of him talking about putting his hole on billboards and the media training not taking he also has some long form interviews drop where he remains annoyingly brash but also reveals that he’s incredibly thoughtful and committed to his craft and has a really clear picture of both the kind of actor and person he wants to be known as. and he’s also very beautiful and shamelessly willing to put his body on display so the photo rollouts from different publications k’o every time. and the show airs its last episodes and the bait-and-switch where the smut becomes Elevated Smut lets him fucking sink his teeth into the rest of his character arc with such deftness you have to stand up in the living room like a dad watching sports. well I think that combination of factors was very powerful for me personally
