On the delineation of the Terms;
The terms, or bounds, are a form of essential dignity, meaning a signification of meaning essential to a given location upon the zodiac, which divides each sign into five periods ruled each by one of the nonluminary classical planets, those being in Chaldean order Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
A given point in a given term will answer to the relative dignity of their term lord or bound lord, for example, if you have your Mercury in the term of Saturn, regardless of the other conditions of Mercury, it will be answering in some ways to the condition of Saturn - your Mercury will be more capable of carrying out their significations then under a Saturn in Aquarius than under a Saturn in Cancer, for example. Furthermore the mode by which Mercury carries out their own significations will be following the natural operation of Saturn. I will outline each bound ruler now in Chaldean order with regards to the pentagonal schema I find them to embody.
For the purposes of this discussion, I'll be using the Dorothean articulation of the Egyptian terms, as this is the articulation I employ in my own practice.
Mercury terms describe an articulation that invokes the nature of consciousness or of communication and articulation, they perpetrate a mechanism marked by interchange, symbolic conveyance, accounting and enumeration. Points in this term will also carry a nature of execution via bureaucracy, or by transmission and transpondence. Mercury terms bring about a specific result primarily by communicating intent and then relying on a sophisticated Rube Goldberg machine of antecedent consequences to manifest a result through synthetic tweaking of the ongoing system.
Mercury governs the third term of Aries from 12° to 20° fully enclosed within the middle decan, the fourth term of Leo from 18° to 24°, and the third term of Sagittarius from 17° to 21° - both bridging over the middle and final decans.
Mercury governs the third terms each of Cancer from 13° to 19°, of Scorpio from 11° to 19°, and of Pisces from 16° to 19° - all enclosed within the middle decans of each sign.
Mercury governs the second term of Libra from 6° to 14° bridging over the first and middle decans, and the first terms both of Aquarius from 0° to 7°, and of Gemini from 0° to 6° - both fully enclosed by the first decans of each sign.

Venus terms carry with them a connotation of subtle interaction between nodes, which is to say resonance and reciprocity, give and take, comutual manifestation of reflective responses. This mechanism is marked by a quality of gravity or evolution via natural selection insofar as things fall into place without contrary effort against a preexisting system - energy is expended minimally causing external energy to bend into a desired arrangement rather than being lifted up entirely and moved arbitrarily.
Venus governs the second terms each of Aries from 6° to 12°, of Leo from 6° to 11°, both bridging across the first and middle decans, and of Sagittarius from 12° to 17° fully enclosed within the middle decan.
Venus governs both the second terms of Cancer from 7° to 13° and of Scorpio from 7° to 11°, and the first decan of Pisces from 0° to 12° - each bridging across the first and middle decans.
Venus governs the fourth term of Libra from 21° to 28° fully enclosed within the final decan, the second term of Aquarius from 7° to 13° bridging across the first and middle decans, and the third term of Gemini from 12° to 17° fully enclosed within the middle decan.
Venus governs the third term of Capricorn from 14° to 22° bridging across the middle and final decans, the first term of Taurus from 0° to 8° fully enclosed within the first decan, and the second term of Virgo from 7° to 17° bridging across the first and middle decans.

Jupiter terms carry with them an atmosphere of legalism and moralism, of distributed and unexamined metaphysics, and of accumulated enculturation. These terms are marked by the nature of a courtroom or of a religious congregation, they are informed by a dictated comprehensive understanding of the world which in turn constructs a mechanism for compelling the norms and confines of thought, like how an Overton Window defines obliquely the limitations of a society, Jupiter terms define obliquely the range of action to be employed through declaring alternatives to be anathema, thereby opening up by exclusion a specific designated space for reality to naturally grow into.
Jupiter governs the first terms each of Aries from 0° to 6°, of Leo from 0° to 6°, both fully enclosed within the first decans of each sign, and also the first term of Sagittarius from 0° to 12° bridging across the first and middle decans.
Jupiter governs both the fourth terms of Cancer from 19° to 26°, of Scorpio from 19° to 24° both bridging across the middle and final decans, and the second term of Pisces from 12° to 16° fully enclosed within the middle decan.
Jupiter governs the third terms each of Libra from 14° to 21° across the middle and final decans, and of Aquarius from 13° to 20° fully enclosed within the middle decan, and the second term of Gemini from 6° to 12° bridging across the first and middle decans.

Saturn terms bring with them an air of finality, of heavy materiality, of factuality, of necessity, of explicit limiting options through force and of obstructive overt confinement. Saturn terms invoke the atmosphere of continuous enforcement, of discipline in both senses, of discernment, distinction, discrimination, and of authority or authoritarianism. Saturn very directly dictates a mandate which is to be carried out under the strictures of law. Saturn is rigid and steadfast, like the firmness of a physical boundary, she causes opposing forces to glance or bounce or clatter against, but permits no penetration of contrary force.
