I first shared them on Twitter, but thought I might as well post them here since I finished the book. And what a lovely novel it was! Truly magical and innocent, I felt like I was reading a real fairytale from start to finish!

It was rare Matthew meant anything he said, but he usually did, with Lucie. His words coming out solemn and true whenever he spoke to her, more careful than ever, though, ironically, she tended to not take him seriously or think he was just kidding.

It seemed like this was not one of those cases. He was almost shocked when he felt her arms pass around him and her cling to him tight. He hugged her back carefully, not because he thought she would break, but because that’s what one did with precious things. He tried to speak, but for a moment he couldn’t, her words nailing a place deep inside him and garbling his voice. It took him a few tries, and some deep breaths, before he could answer her in his usual light tone:

“But isn’t it usually the role of the knight to sacrifice himself for the princess, Lu? Dashing and brave in a white horse? Though I am missing the horse, but I suppose we could always dye Balios or Xanthos…” He mused jokingly, before allowing himself the liberty of dropping a kiss on the top of her head. “No need to worry, I am not going anywhere. For Jamie and for you.”

I can take a little break from fanzine’s works now haha, I really can’t wait for the next book, i know the bonus chapter from Azriel’s POV and the introduction of Gwyn has been widely discussed in the fandom, as for myself I’m still rooting for them and I hope we will have a beautiful story like Feysand and Nessian's  ♥️ twitter / instagram
