The truth about Brexit

In the UK there was a referendum in 2016 about whether or not the people wanted to REMAIN in the EU or LEAVE the EU. The people voted to Leave.

I think the way the Brexit campaign was run was appealing to racism and that is wrong. There was a lot of misinformation.

But still, I dont think Brexit should be overturned. The people voted Leave so the government must deliver on that.

I disagree with the people advocating for a second referendum, or a loosers vote. It is wrong to want a 2nd vote just because you lost. I supported Remain but I am accepting the vote and I think the left should focus making the most of Brexit.

If Brexit is stopped in its tracks and we are forced to re-vote I have lost my faith in democracy.

In that regard, I agree. But merely because a person has a criticism of something does not mean any person is obligated to listen to them, equally.

In reality, I’ve rarely met a person who was a libertarian who was against lively debate. I have met, at this point possibly thousands of people who claim to lean left, who have called for censorship, made threats of violence, and even physically attacked people (I have video evidence of this, I was there, I saw it happen). 

Would you argue that acceptable consequences include spreading lies or falsehoods about a person, their stance, their beliefs, or their actions?

I agree with everything you are saying about people not having to actually listen to peoples critisisms, only that they should expect those critisisms to happen in a free country. Also, its true elements of the left are acting wrong by attacking people and some are lying about people also. However, this happens on all sides of the political spectrum and it is more people on the right that use free speech as an excuse for their actions

There have been over 55 million abortions performed in this country since 1973. If abortion is murder, that’s four and a half holocausts, fifty Stalinist purges, or an entire great leap forward. Not only does the US sanction this, but it subsidizes this at taxpayer expense.

If the United States government is killing more of its own people than Hitler and Stalin combined, and no amount of elections seems to bring us any closer to stopping this genocide, would it be appropriate for the Islamic Republic of Iran to launch a regime change operation against us? If not, why not?

Assuming direct rule from Tehran (as opposed to a Catholic puppet regime), which “civil rights” would Iran restrict that are more important than the lives of two thousand infants a day?

Because I think the reaction of the left to it is riduculous. It has been shown that the original video was edited in a way to make the kids look bad even though the whole video shows that the kids WERENT harrassing the native american elder.

Also, I think its wrong that people are being so viscious to children, even if they do support Trump. Everyone on the left was quick to condemn the right for targeting the Parkland kids, and that was good. But we cant have it both ways. I have even seen tweets with death threats directed at these kids! At the end of the day these are just kids and shouldnt be treated like this.

Also, it was just a facial expression and people need to calm down.

The left needs to grow up.
