ANGEL!READER X JINU

Summary: You give Jinu the comfort he needs.

Warnings: gn!reader(? I reread it and it doesnt have any specific pronouns listed), fluff, a little bit of angst?, um-its kind of short.

A/n: think of the setting as after the movie's events, and that the Saja Boys are given another chance on things. I'm downright bad for this man, sorry if I've gotten anything out of character for him.

Nothing could take away the pain and torment he faced for the past few centuries, not after all what Gwi-ma did to him. The shame and guilt of not knowing what happened to his mother and sister never failed to make his stomach twist. The memories of them being dragged away still haunted him at night when he slept, leaving him in a cold sweat with a few tears leaking from his eyes.

In the wind, when he takes walks, he can hear a scratchy, unsatisfied voice echoing back his insecurities, the ones he thought that went away once the new Honmoon was made.

"Do you really think she'll stay with you? You're a demon, and she's something sacred, and you're something unholy."

But at the end of the day, when he lays his head on your chest to hear your soft heat beat, everything melts away.

Your soft skin, fluffy feathers, and sweet perfume often leave Jinu in a haze, bringing him away from the day's problems. Whether it was issues during the group's choreo session or when a fan got a little too close for comfort. His fingers always reached out to gently stroke the skin at your waist with yours getting tangled in the soft strands of his hair.

There are days when he fears he'll burn you with his sins, and that you'll disappear if he ever lossens his grip on you or look away. So that's why he holds you a little too tight during the night when you're both supposed to be asleep. His face between where your shoulder and neck meet, his limbs tangled with yours, listening to your soft breathing.

He jokes how you're his guardian angel, how you are the Yin to his Yang, how you give him the life and love he had never dared to dream about when he was still human. You're flattered of course, but there is a glint in his eyes that make your heart squeeze.

So you whisper sweet things in his ear, promising far more than love and loyalty. The heavens above may damn you for the way you love your boyfriend and for who he is, but you couldn't bring yourself to care about that. Not when Jinu would look at you like you hung the stars in the sky, like you were his one and only.

And you were his one and only, you were the light at the end of his dark tunnel, you were his angel.
