I need one of these.
I remained too much inside my head and ended up losing my mind.

âI want to become a lolitaâ you say. So become one, I reply. âWhat can I do to look like a lolita?â I have no words to reply to this. You need a headdress, donât you? And a petticoat. âIs this coordinate strange?â âIs it not wrong for lolita?â Why do you want to do lolita? âBecause itâs trendy, because my friends do itâŚâ If thatâs the case, you have no right to wear lolita. If you just do what the others do, you will look like a lolita, But I want you to think about something. Who do you live for? You think you want to be yourself, but you are afraid of isolation. You yell that you want to be free, but you take comfort in following convention. When you are praised for something you donât even feel comfortable with, are you really satisfied? Girls who wear Vivienne Westwood but donât even know the Sex Pistols. Even when wearing a jersey, a princess is a princess. My lolita rules are mine alone. So you are the only one who can find your own lolita rules. My God and your God are different, arenât they? There are angels who wear elegant dresses and play tamborines, But there are also angels wearing armor and carrying swords whose job it is to fight. I canât answer your question. But there are a lot of hints all around you. You just havenât noticed yet. What you feel is right is your answer. Sew frills onto the hem of your heart! Put a tiara on top of your soul! Have pride.

The series of six illustrations that comprises âYohâs Monochromatic Worldâ is a mise-en-scene of sorts. Each portal or door opens to another room. The reduction of the palette to contrast emphasizes silhouette and contour, as is also the case with Mukuroâs photographs of his clothing designs. Both artists make a thematic link through this visual trope, fusing the figure in each image to her environs. So while there is a sense of perspective, we are left with a flattened, graphic quality. Centuries ago, clothing with a deep indigo blue, practically black, was a very traditional colour associated with farmers and lower-class samurai. At the same time, a contrasting high-fashion sensibility is created with the use of black, which has its roots in fashion, first influenced by designers such as Comme des Garçons and Yohji Yamamoto. The early work of these fashion pioneers was exclusively monochromatic and continues to be characterized by warped forms that are themselves a deconstruction of traditional silhouettes. - Japanese Goth - Tiffany Godoy, Ivan Vartanian
