Look, I like whumping my blorbos, but it feels illegal to whump Grace and/or Rocky. Like, they're so precious that we physically can't hurt them because that would hurt either one of them too much that they simply shatter :(
Everyone else tho, whump them to oblivion a back, do it again, and make it as painful and fun as possible >:]

The only one I can think of is in Ori when y9u have to escape the flooding tree after putting the water stone back where it belongs. The amount of times I died on it is insane. Thank you little pixel cat :]
I was able to watch Project Hail Mary a day before its official release (Thursday, March 19th) and IM STILL NOT OVER IT
The book was great, and I was so so worried that they may mess it up, buT THEY DIDN'T. THEY DID SO WELL
I can say a lot, but I have schoolwork to do, but because I've seen nobody else mention this...
Did anyone else notice the golden plaques near the beginning of the movie? It reminded me of the Golden Record (it deserves caps), but more in-depth. And it makes sense, because they were sending the Hail Mary out into another solar system on a one-way voyage that would eventually be adrift in deep space or in orbit around Tau Ceti for entirety. The only other ones that have been out that far-- as of our time-- is Voyager 1 & 2, and they launched back in 1977 (idk where they are in the universe right now, but I think about 15.something billion and 13.something billion miles away respectively).
Also, they (Earth) now know that life is possible elsewhere, and other species from other parts of the galaxy may eventually stumble upon the lonely lost spaceship, climb aboard out of curiosity, and discover the plaques and learn exactly where we're from and who these people are.
Hear me out: any dragon can get a bit "glowy", for lack of better term, when they become an alpha.
(Or something else cool, idk)
Cause if not, that's a bit... weird, right? Like only a Night Fury can become alpha and only they get the extra color(s?)? What about other species? Is it something along the line of how they tend to look in the Hidden World?
I mean, from SoD (rest it's soul) we know Toothless turns blue (also in Rise of Berk, if you get that skin) in the Hidden World, so what about the other dragons? Do they get a much more concentrated version of a certain color(s) if they became an alpha?
Did the Bewilderbeast have one? What color? Blue? White? Yellow? Or none at all?
I think Meatlug would look cute if she had little green markings, like little plants :D
Ok, so I watched HTTYD last night (the superior one, imo), and I realized something during the volcano thing:
Toothless is f**king terrified, everyone can see that, and we see he's looking around, presumably to find a place to land. But there's something about his expression that doesn't seem to capture that that's the only reason... it's like he's looking for somebody.
So, theory I have yet to hear from anybody else:
Toothless was looking for his mother/father/sibling/another Night Fury that he's close to.
I know, I know. I know you're thinking "but then wouldn't that Night Fury also be attacking Berk?"
Not if they were injured and/or sick.
Now, please hear out my following ramble :] (be warned, it's long)
Night Fury's are rare, we know that, but exactly how rare? Do we have a definite answer (if we do, please tell me I want to knoww)? At the very least, we know (assume?) that Toothless is the last of his kind... during Hiccup's life (see where I'm going?).
Based on pure speculation on my part, I think Grimmel is about Stoick's age, maybe even younger, and he's known as the "Night Fury Killer", and (I think) we don't know what age he was when he received that title. He could've been Hiccup's age in the first movie for all we know when that was bestowed upon him (I've not watched the third movie in a while, correct me if I'm wrong please).
Drago is another thought, which I estimate to be closer to Stoick's age, and it does appear he wears a cape made of dragon skin similar to Toothless's, and we know in RTTE (at the very least) just how many people want to get their hands on anything Night Fury related (including Hiccup, I believe), so I would assume that it would be difficult for Drago to aquire such a significant chuck of it.
My point is of bring the villains into this is: when Stoick was Hiccup's age/ fifteen (15), were there more Night Fury's attacking that eventually dwindled down to one (1)? We know that Cloudjumper (a Stormcutter) was present when Hiccup was an infant, but that species no longer attacked during Hiccup's older years, so it seems plausible (in my very biased opinion) that other species would also sloooowllly peter out until "the main five (5)" species remained attacking (Deadly Naddars, Hideous Zipplebacks, Monstrous Nightmares, Gronckles, and Night Fury(s?) ).
Ok, I see you're sick of speculations (that was a ramble I'm sorry :[ forgive me? No? Mk), so I'll provide very tiny in-film evidence, and a counter-argument, because that makes it funner :D
Evidence:
1). Toothless takes his time to find a place to land, initially following the flow with the rest of the dragons dropping their haul into the smog below. Why? Why not immediately fly to where he eventually lands? We see Gronckle eggs and Gronckles shying away after the dragon gets eaten by the Red Death, so that implies that dragons have at least a general place of habitation (or maybe just for laying eggs, I don't know), but Toothless eventually loops behind a piller before landing, despite knowing he may be punished for not returning earlier/ not returning with prey.
2). Toothless pretty continously glances around anxiously, left and right, like he was searching for someone (imo). And he eventually must not find then, because I don't think he really landed where he was last looking.
3). Stoick makes a comment, implying that there's been multiple Night Furys attacking at some point during his life ("Any Night Furys?"). How long may it have been since he last seen more than one? Was it before or after Hiccup was born?
4). We've seen, just before Hiccup shoots Toothless down, that it's very hard to distinguish any features about a Night Fury from afar, quite literally a shape that periodically blocks out stars (at least at night). What are the chances that it wasn't always Toothless? That they got confused with another Night Fury, maybe thinking it was the same one? They obviously didn't know what a Night Fury looked like until Toothless broke into the ring to protect Hiccup from future-Hookfang, and yet Gobber recognized what dragon this immediately was (something I've found odd, but chalked it up to the scales and overall shape).
5). Referencing to #4, was there more than one Night Fury ever attacking at once while Hiccup was a teenager, but they didn't know? We see in the fight with the Red Death above the clouds just how fast Toothless/Night Furys are (and invisible), so if Berkians knew that, did they assume that only one was attacking, just moving very quickly, when in reality there was more than one?
Counter-argument:
1). Toothless could've just been looking around at the other dragons, making sure they don't noticed/focus too strongly on the fact that he was carrying two humans, and know they might take this opportunity to steal the humans away from Toothless or sacrifice Toothless as well for bringing their enemies into their nest.
2). Hiccup only ever says "the Night Fury", while Stoick asks "Any Night Fury's?" During the first film. This could mean that Stoick grew up with Night Fury's also attacking, but by the time Hiccup was born (or at least old enough to recognize the different species by name), only one (1) remained, and Stoick was speaking out of habit due to how he grew up. Considering Toothless is the same age as Hiccup, it would make sense that Toothless once attacked Berk with his family/species until each of them were hunted down by Grimmel and he was left to be the only Night Fury to serve the queen. (I do have other thoughts of how he came to serve the Red Death, but that's not relevant here).
3). We know that no one on Berk (I didn't say from-- again, that theory is not relevant here) ever shot down/killed a Night Fury until Hiccup, or at least didn't think to record it somewhere. Astrid does mention that they've been fighting the dragons for generations going back 300-400 years, if I remember right (the numbers conflict a few times, I believe). Toothless could very well be the only Night Fury Berk has ever seen, but I feel like it doesn't completely explain Stoick's "any Night Fury's?" comment completely.
4). The rarer the species, the less likely of a chance that one of them would have a chance to be killed, and we know that Night Fury's (or at least Toothless) have a long shot range, something that the Berkians didn't have to counteract besides using catapults, and what with the boulders they need to lose, aim, and finally fire, a dragon is likely to see the large object and swerve to avoid it. One of the reasons why Hiccup was able to shoot down Toothless was because he used a small contraception with bolas (meant to capture, not kill) and sat on a dark cliff in wait, as opposed to the catapult being on its only little island and very tall, with many men yelling around it. Heck, that Monstrous Nightmare went right for it, appearing unafraid.
Interesting Extra Thoughts:
1). Toothless never stole food, yet still attacked Berk. Could he be getting revenge for something? He actively aimed for the catapult--never, if rarely, attacking elsewhere--where he knew several Berkians were. That Monstrous Nightmare knew and left in a hurry when he heard Toothless about to fire.
2). Toothless doesn't appear to be loyal to the queen (again, not stealing food for her), but still returned when the other dragons were bringing in their haul. It could be to show Hiccup what exactly was going on on their island, and why they stole food, but we saw just minutes before that how protective Toothless is of Hiccup, between leaping to go after Astrid to demanding she apologize to Hiccup (there was a different post I saw a while ago how Toothless tends to demand respect on Hiccup behalf, but I don't have it saved or remember the writer :( ), and later he jumps into the ring to protect him from future-Hookfang, knowing he was exposing his friendship with Hiccup to an entire tribe of vikings that wanted him dead, and that he couldn't fly without Hiccup's help. I find it hard to believe he would take Hiccup and his now-friend to a place he actively fears unless there was a strong reason why he would return.
Based on what I've noticed, I've come to a potential explanation of what happened:
Berkians fired a catapult, maybe aiming for a different dragon. This other Night Fury was flying behind said dragon, and didn't notice it until it was too late. Injured, they either had assistance or made it back by themselves to the nest.
The Berkians who fired the catapult didn't notice it, what with the general chaos around them, reloading, and being unable to see the Night Fury very well to begin with. The roar of pain (similar to the one Toothless let out) was drowned out around them. One of the reasons why Hiccup heard it was because he was in a much more isolated spot, away from the shouting and the light and the people.
Toothless finds that the other Night Fury was injured by the catapult, and maybe the queen demanded that the Night Fury still goes out to fight and gather. This breaks what little loyalty Toothless had to the Red Death, and refuses to bring back anything for her, but plays the part of two Night Furys well. Other dragons may/may not notice this, but since they're all stuck together, they keep quiet. They too, are tying to survive. The injured Night Fury does their best to blend in with the dark walls around them, and stays as still as possible, hoping to be ignored.
Toothless primarily aims for the catapult and the people on it, so that no dragon would ever be harmed by it again. Whether it's a few days or a few years later, Toothless gets shot down, released, befriended, and made a new tail: but someone needs to be with him. He also starts to realize that there are good humans.
Astrid shows. He does a whole bunch of crazy stuff until she apologizes, and works with Hiccup to change her mind as well. He becomes aware that he just flew into a return raid, and realizes that this is his chance to check up on the injured Night Fury. Dragons give him odd glances, wondering where he's been and why he's with people. Some are angry about this.
Toothless flies as normal, but the inhured Night Fury isn't there, and he begins to panic (I'm not sure of the exact timeline of when Toothless gets shot down to when he returns to Dragon Island with Hiccup and Astrid, but I assume anywhere from five (5) days to two (2) weeks). He eventually has to land and remains out of sight of the Red Death, until she catches a whiff of him, and they escape.
They return to the cove, and Toothless wanders away for a few minutes to grieve and get something to drink, probably feeling very guilty that the Red Death found out about the hidden Night Fury and killed/ate them and he wasn't there to stop/protect them. Maybe he feels like he abandoned them when he was supposed to be covering for them.
Toothless later rushes to the ring, because he won't abandon anyone else he cares about in their time of need. He gets captured, taken to Dragon Island--the last place he wants to be--Hiccup comes, they defeat the queen, and Toothless spends those days that Hiccup's unconscious watching over him in a way he wasn't able to with the injured Night Fury.
I'm aware that there's some holes in this theory, but it's one I find nonetheless interesting. And maybe I just believe it because I'm a sleep-deprived moderately-depressed stressed-mess college student during their week of finals and need to do something besides stare at Calculus problems for seven hours, but I like to think it's plausible.
I'd like to publicly apologize to everyone I've ever said "You look tired" to, I did not realize that could be a bad thing to say.
I can't believe it took until my college years to find that out during a discussion in my Texts and Critics class. I was very confused hearing everyone confirm it to the point where my professor said I looked like I was in pain (small class, and we all sit in a circle), leading me to explain how I always thought it was a good thing to say to someone. I got some weird looks and laughs, but they were nice.
The reason why I thought it was a good thing is because it means someone can tell that you probably had a tough night, or its been a tough day, or maybe that you're stressed about something in your life, but I always took it as "I see you're tired. I see how you feel. Wanna talk?" And that's usually the vibe I get when people ask me.
Does anyone else do this, or think like this? Do I just not know How To Human?
None of the them have color because I'm at college and left my pencils at home :( but my parents are sending them to me so they should be here in a week :]
Me: I am capable of speaking to humans Normally. I can, in fact, have A Normal Conversation without it Going Sideways, Immediately Forgetting, or Scaring Them Away.
Also me, at a Renaissance Faire dressed as a fairy:
Actor: Beware the Faire Catchers! They tend to catch the wee ones to serve the wings to we patrons! They're quite scrumptious when doused with butter!
Me, overwhelmed by All The People and The Noise and The Everything: Thanks! :D
Topic: I think that in addition to middle fingers to flip someone off, we also start using double pinkie fingers as well.
Reasoning: middle fingers are (usually) long, so it could be a big "f*** you and I care that you see" while pinkie fingers are (usually) smaller and thin and it could be a small "f*** you and I don't care about you anymore so if you see, fine, if ya don't, mk"
Conclusion: I got 2 hours of sleep last night and my first day of college is in less than a week, so am I being delusional?
Also: I'm not educated enough to know, but are there certain places where there's two "middle fingers"?
I think I'm an average person, or plain at the very least.
Although my family says that I'm "smart" and "going places" (I do start my first year of college this late August), I don't think they're being honest about it.
For example, I don't have a texting style. If you text me with emojis, I'll text with emojis 🙂. All caps? ME TOO THEN. No punctuation? Be prepared for "They're" to become "their".
If you're happy, I'm happy. If you cry, I cry. If you laugh, I laugh. If there's nothing, there's nothing. If you panic, I panic.
Songs also do this to me. Angry song? I'm angry. Upbeat -> upbeat. AJR -> a giggly nodded for some reason.
And it's weird, because sometimes I just feel nothing when I'm alone because there's no one to base my mood off of.
Like... I don't understand it in the slightest. And while my mom does say she also tends to mirror people's "texting styles", I don't know if it extends to conversations.
So, am I alone in this? Am I just a blank slate until someone comes along?
I had a dream where four of my friends were at an arcade. We stood around to watch one friend play a 2D Minecraft game, and he casually mentioned "Oh yeah I made this game" and everyone was just like "huh ok, cool".
I walked away with another friend to watch him try to win a kinda large (maybe 3 feet tall?) black dragon from a claw machine. He got a 7-legged, dark green horse instead. We asked a guy who worked there if we could swap them out, but he said he couldn't do that unless they were made by the same company, and the way we could tell that is based of their color. For some reason, this made sense.
People began screaming because my third friend was running around with a blowdryer, and we were just like "ok, and? Have you seen his beard??" And we weren't really bothered about it.
I don't entirely remember my fourth friend being there, but the little I do remember is that he started climbing the walls after being juiced up by sugar.
Anyway, I ordered a fish and like halfway through eating it, this fricken little spider came out of no where and started making biscuits on it. I walked away because I didn't want to deal with it.
I think I gave this arcade a 23/w (why it was scored like that I'll never know). My fish attracted what I assumed to be a Very Happy Spider, they had my friend's game, they had sugar, a claw machine, and a blowdryer.
Looping back to the title, can someone who's like, idk, an expert please tell me what the flying fudge my dream meant?
So my Physics teacher likes to ask us a question as we get our stuff out for the day (I'm in HS at this moment), and she asked recently "When was the last time you were proud of your friend/family and why?", so I said my little brother, who drove to Popeyes because we both love it and our parents weren't home that day (I was supervising in the passengers seat. We did have permission to go to Popeyes).
I was probably the fourth or fifth person she called on (she randomly draws using flashcards), and by then people had begun clapping at the end of each person's friend/family's accomplishment. I told her "my brother drove me to Popeyes. It was the first time he drove without one of our parents". She then asked, "Does he have a license?"
This is where I fricken blanked. I didn't remember and it's No Phones In Class so I could text him.
I said "I think so?" She asked "So he might've driven illegally?" I said, "He at least has his permit and we didn't get pulled over."
Anyway, she ended my turn by saying, "Congrats to [my] brother for probably driving illegally to Popeyes." I'm 80% sure people weren't paying attention but they did applaud.
(P.S., I asked if he had his license. He said yes, but just the paper for the moment. I told him the story and he found it funny. I also later told my mom and she found it funny).
Anyway, I just wanted to share something moderately funny.
Hey I saw you comment a while back on a couple of my httyd posts and like tag me, if u want, when you release ur stories into the wild because I'll read the hell out of them.
Didn't say anything before because I had no words—in a very good way. This is just. Amazing
Not only the art, which as always is of incredible quality, so well rendered, with such a good structure, just, everything
But the meaning??? The weight of it all??? Hiccup the peace keeper would feel so guilty of all the people he hadn't been able to save, and he'd definitely see it as his own fault in his worst moments. The fact that both allies and enemies are there, Viggo caressing his cheek, the others trying to take him down with them, it makes the line between what could be seen as an honest mistake on his part and what events he couldn't have prevented all that much blurry, he doesn't know anymore and guilt eats him alive, he drowns in it as you so beautifully put it. None all of those deaths were his fault, but of course he won't see that
But also the symbolism, lying in bed half here half there, haunted by his past, and he lets them. He is losing part of himself due to the lack of sleep and the negative thoughts, he is drowning and letting himself die, he is letting the spirits that haunt him bring him down into the waters of the Styx until his soul is so rotten, so impossibly broken and filled with despair and guilt, that he truly feels like he is dead, just not medically. The Hiccup he once was now dead, a carcass of the ideals he had once fought to defend and the hopes he no longer holds within him
