for a moment that smug smile dropped from his face, replaced briefly with an unimpressed glower. was she serious? he quickly forces another smile, as if her error hadn’t fazed him in the slightest.
‘ — is that so? well then, i’ll make sure he gets it. ’ no need for her to know who she’d made that mistake in front of - not yet, at least. no, he’d simply hold onto that information for a little longer, ready to spring upon her at a moment’s notice. he wouldn’t call it blackmail, per se — just a friendly reminder he wouldn’t hesitate to use against her in the future.
grayson…? he furrows his brow. was there a grayson daniel who worked there? ah, perhaps she was referring to that one secretary, the one with that amusing, ever-present scowl. was that his name? he’d never really bothered to ask.
but that look on her face … oh my. had he just stumbled upon an office romance of sorts? how interesting. unfortunate that this mystery woman had such questionable taste, but oh well. he supposes it’s reasonable that some women had such stone-faced, utterly boring men as their type. who is he to judge? besides, that only gave him more material for him to work with, didn’t it? he certainly couldn’t allow for such a cute face to go un-teased.
‘ does he work here? hm, what a fascinating question! if you’re asking if he works in this particular spot, then i would have to say no. it wouldn’t make much sense to work in the middle of the hallway, wouldn’t you agree? now, if you’re wondering if he works within the tower, i would agree that it is entirely plausible. from what i hear, there are many different businesses on each floor. and as to if he works here - i suppose the definition of works could be entirely subjective, yes? how much work qualifies him as working here, and what kind? and if he does work here, i suppose it’s very likely that he does other things here as well - eat, drink, whatever else have you. ah, so many questions. i’m afraid you’ll have to be more specific. ’
She gives the tall man a sweet and kind smile. She really shouldn’t judge so quickly! Frey gives herself a light mental slap to remind herself that she really should relax. Just because someone is taller than her, or rather larger than her that doesn’t mean they’re scary.
Though she became dumbfounded after he answers her question. Tilting her head to the side as the man began to speak...Nonstop. That it took her a great amount of effort to understand what he’s saying because he said it all too fast. Frey gives him a confused look, before looking to the side thinking. Opening her mouth then closing it again for a moment.The other was right though,the law office had many offices. She wasn’t used to it of course, Urban Garden was really small in comparison.
Finally she claps her hands, she thinks she can finally ask a proper question.
“Sorry i really wasn’t specific huh? I was just wondering if you know Grayson Daniel, or Gray for short. He works in one of the offices, i don’t know where of course. This is the first time i’m actually inside here.” She lets out a light giggle. “I probably would’ve gotten lost if the front desk wasn’t there.” She gives the taller man another kind smile.
“I’m Frey by the way. Frey Alicove, i’m sorry for earlier.”
