I wanted this to come out last week, but school happened & I lost motivation - I still didnt finish this sooo part 2 will come hopefully sometime this week if my calc teacher doesnโt dump more work on me
Also this is kinda a continuation of my previous post, not entirely necessary to read, but it does help with context (also heavily inspired my TOP old-new song)

โญโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโญ
Sheโs been gone for a long time, ever since the goblin rebellion has resurfaced, itโs never been the same.ย
Her boy, her son - even though she herself is gone, she lives with him. Rumor has it that her power was passed down to her son. But the boy has never displayed any sign of the ability she wielded. The goblins captured him for nothing once they realized this, so they let him go.
Not until a certain day.ย
The boy was sitting in his common room, playing cards with one of his roommates, until someone walked in.ย
He looked up to see one of his friends peaking their head into his room.ย
โYour fatherโs here, with Professor Sallow. Said they need you.โย
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โWeโre doing what?โย
โWeโre going through your motherโs things.โ Ominis told as they traveled up the wide winding stairs, his son & Sebastian following behind.ย
โRight, I get that - but all of motherโs things were destroyed when she died.โ The boy replied.ย ย
โNot all.โ Sebastian spoke up, earning the boys attention.ย
โYour mother had a habit of .. shall we say not staying in one place for very long.โ Ominis started. โShe was always on her way somewhere.โ
โBut thereโs one place, one room sheโd always be in if she wasnโt in her usual spots.โย
They continued upward, until they reached the top. The boy was about to continue past Barnabas the Barmy Tapestry, until Sebastian pulled on his shirt collar to stop him.ย
โOW- what the hell was that-?โย
โQuiet.โ Sallow ordered.ย
The boy closed his mouth, rubbing at the neck. He then turned to his father, who was staring at an empty wall.ย
โFather, thatโs just a wall..โย
โSilence.โ Sallow continued in his tone.ย
The boy sighed & sent a side glare to his professor.ย
Ominis continued to stare at the blank barrier. He concentrated intensely, thinking & focusing. โFather, we both know that this is just a wall,ย even without your vision -!โย
โDidnโt I tell you to be quiet, boy?โ Sebastianย said sternly once more. A scowl & annoyance laced in his features. The boy scoffed at him, his glare hardening.ย
โFather, are you seriously going to allow him to speak to me like this?โ He started loudly. Ominisโ silence only angered his son further. Until the wall began to morph into something. โFather Iโm your son you at least have to say some-.. thing?โ The boy's noisy voice faded into confusion, then silence as he watched the empty wall turn into a wooden door.ย
He stood in both confusion & slight shock. โEvery time I think I know everything about this school.. it suddenly proves me wrong.โ The boy mutters.ย
โItโs full of surprises, isnโt it?โ Ominis said with a light chuckle. โCome now, we must hurry.โ He commanded, walking inside followed by Sebastian.ย
โWait, weโre going inside? What if we canโt get out? What if something dangerous is in there? What ifโโย
โOh for Merlinโs sake, accio!โย
Annoyed at his constant questioning, Sebastian used magic to pull the boy inside by his tie. โOww-!! Hey cut that out!โ Once he was inside, the door slammed shut, disappeared from the outside. The inside however, was much different than what heโd imagined.ย
โThis way.โ Sebastian commanded, allowing the spell to fade. The boy took hesitant steps, until he entered a large room. Books & pages flying about, quills & supplies organizing themselves. The boy gazed around in complete awe.ย
โThe Room of Requirement.โ Sallow cut in.ย
โYes,โ Ominis started. โYour mother would spend her time here honing spells, potions & Herbology.โ He told his son.ย
โWhatโs with the giant green house?โย
The boy's gaze landed on a large green house looking building. Its illuminating light gave off a warm early spring afternoon. โThat would be one of your motherโs Vivariums.โ Sebastian answered.
โAlong with everything else she was doing - she somehow managed to take the time to rescue any beasts that mightโve been endangered.โย
โMother sounds more admirable the more stories you tell.โ The boy said with a small smile. Ominis hummed, smiling along with his son. He placed a hand on his shoulder as he stood next to him. โShe truly was.โ He added.ย
โAhem.โ Sebastian cleared his throat. โMy apologies for interrupting a โฆ tender moment, but we have work that needs to be done.โ He reminded.ย
Ominis sighed, removing his hand from his sonโs shoulder, he walked towards his longtime friend. โYouโre right.โย
The boy looked back at the vivarium, debating whether he should follow his father, or go into the green house.ย
His pondering was interrupted when his father called his name, gaining his attention. โFeel free to wander about, justย be careful around the Vivariums. Iโm not too knowledgeable on how many beasts your mother saved.โย
โOf course, thank you father.โ He thanked, seeing his figure descend down a flight of stairs.ย
Wait, Vivariums? Plural??
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The boy looked around & up. Seeing pages fly, items floating, things reorganizing themselves - what should he do first he pondered.ย
He took the liberty of walking towards the statue on the opposite side where he saw his father descend. He gazed at the figure, then to all the books & loose pages. He wonders how his father & Professor Sallow are going to find anything in here.ย
Seems like a bit of a hassle he thought.ย
He turned to his left, noticing a small staircase - & made his way towards it. As he took each step up, he trailed his fingers along the shelves & spines of the books.ย
He continued upward until he reached the top of the stairs, & heard the sound of waves. Waves crashing along a shore - the smell of ocean water & wet sand, & cool air. When he really looked, he saw a sphere glass house, almost similar to the green house he saw earlier.ย
He stepped closer to it, reaching out a hand to see if what he was feeling, & hearing was real. When his finger tips felt the cool air brush past them, he quickly retreated them. Looking between his hand & the sphere, he pondered.ย
..just be careful around the Vivariums. Iโm not too knowledgeable on how many beasts your mother saved.
His fatherโs words repeated in his head. If they were rescued, surely theyโd be domesticated, right? He wasnโt sure. He could hear the waves crashing down again.ย
Heโd always wanted to go to the beach. Ever since the Goblin Rebellion returned, Ominisย limited the places his son could visit, & his curfew when he returned home for holidays. It should be safe in the vivarium right? Itโs in the room of requirement so itโs not technically outside..ย
He decided to take a chance.ย
If I encounter a beast, Iโll just run back inside. He told himself.
He inhaled deeply, & exhaled. He took strong strides towards the vivarium, stepping foot inside. He kept moving forward even as the light blinded him.ย
The sound of the crashing waves was louder now. The cool air was strong, & the sand was soft below his shoes. When his eyes finally adjusted to the light - he looked out into the open sea. Miles up miles stretched out, the water glistening - not always. The sun peaked out behind the misty clouds.ย
The boy inhaled again, smelling the air & the salt water. A strong breeze swept past him, blowing his hair in & out of his face. His gaze immediately landed on the broad blue sea in front of him. The boy gazed around what he could. Rocks, sand, seaweed - not no beast in sight.ย
โ..Maybe mother didnโt use this one.โ He thought to himself.
Since he sensed no beast, therefore no danger, therefore he can go in the water. The boy started to undo his shoes, removed his socks, & robes & folded his pants up to his knees.ย
He left his socks in his shoes, & left his shoes sitting on a flat rock - making a bee line to the water. As soon as his feet hit the wet sand & the waves washed over him - he let out a yelp at how cold it was. But he pushed its coldness it aside, a large smile made its way onto his face.ย
The boy started running around the shallow waters laughing with himself, splashing water in the air, doing cartwheels, scolding himself for falling & getting his uniform wet knowing his father wouldnโt be too happy with him.ย
Unbeknownst to him, his loud happiness woke someone up.ย
The boy stood still for a moment. Staring out into the open sea, realizing that all he's seeing beyond him could very well just be an illusion. He started to wonder, would he have been able to do this with his mother? He never knew what she liked or didnโt like - he almost didnโt know her at all. Only a shell of her, that was all the stories he heard about his mother from his father & her friends.ย
His wandering mind didnโt last too long when he felt the rumble of the ground. A moment of confusion struck him, thereโs no earthquakes in the Vivariums, are there? He felt it again. He looked down at the water to check if it moved with him.ย
โMustโve stumbled on accident.โย
Until he heard a low growl, & another heavy rumble - this time he could clearly see the water ripple from the vibration. He turned around, & made eye contact with the large beast, the lord of the shore. Fear filled his body. The Graphorn stood in a ready stance, its body emitting an inner yellow glow. It growled once more. The boy put his out to try & calm the beast, as well as himself.ย
โE-Easy.. no need to attack..! Iโm friendly-!โ
He roared loudly, it shook the beach again
โI donโt think he really cares!!โ The boy thought.ย
โBow! Bow!โ A sudden voice said.
The boy looked around, trying to find where the voice came from. His eyes caught a house elf standing just by the entrance where the boy came in.ย
โH-Huh?!โ The boy asked.ย
โYou need to bow! He wonโt attack if you bow!โ The elf said.ย
The beast roared again, preparing the charge at the boy. Scared out of his mind, he only stood still. The beast roared one final time, before beginning to charge.ย
The beast roared, & the boy screamed. Out of instinct, the boy jumped out of the way & to the right. Falling face first into the cold salt water. He quickly turned around, towards the beast.ย
The Graphorn, realizing he didnโt get the boy, looked to his left, then his right. Locking his sights on the boy, the Graphorn stalked slowly. The boy moved back more & more, until his back hit a large rock. He only looked up at the large beast.ย
The lord of the shore extended his neck towards the boy, staring at him intently. The boy swallowed, staring into the Graphornโs intense stare - awaiting his attack.ย
But nothing happened. The Graphorn stared into the boy's eyes, until he came to the realization. His eyes, they were hers - the boy had her eyes. The same eyes that rescued & fought The Lord of the Shore all those years ago. The Graphorn stepped back a few steps, & and then bowed to the boy. The boy, slightly confused but still scared - bowed his head back, scared that if he didnโt the Graphorn would suddenly decide to attack him. When the beast rose, he walked away & laid somewhere on the sand. Whilst the boy made his quick getaway. In one swift motion - he snatched his shoes from the flat rock, & bolted to the portal back to the Room of Requirement.ย
โMy, my! Itโs you! Her son!โย
Hearing a voice beside him, he looked around, on either side - until he looked lower.ย
โItโs you again, the house elf.โ The boy said.ย
โDeek, at your service young master.โ Deek introduced, giving a small bow.ย
โYouโre much bigger from the last time I saw you.โ He said softly, examining the boy.ย
โLast time?โ The boy repeated.ย
โOh yes, when you were very small, your parents came by for a visit with you. I remember how excited your mother was when she entered the room with you in her arms.. Iโll never forget the smile on her face.โ Deek told.ย
The boyโs lips formed into the lightest smile thinking of his motherโs happiness. He could picture exactly how she looked at that moment.ย
โYes! A smile just like that one!โ Deek exclaimed, pointing to Boys' own smile.ย
Said boy only chuckled. โIt was lovely to meet you, young master.โ Deek said with another bow. โLikewise, Deek.โ The boy replied, bowing back. With a snap of his fingers, Deek disappeared, & the boy continued to wander about the Room of Requirement.ย
He found himself in a bridge room that was behind the green house downstairs. It was adorned with pillows & comfy seating. The boy used a spell to dry himself of any salt water that lingered on his clothes, stood in front of the pile of many pillows - & flopped on top of them. They were warm - so warm, & so soft.
โI donโt think I can get upโ he thought to himself.ย
Then he heard something fall. Raising his head he looked around to try & see what it was. It sounded like a book, or maybe a box. He looked until his eyes landed on a chair just a few feet away from him, & noticed a book sitting atop it. Perhaps thatโs the one that fell.ย
Reluctantly, he pushed himself off the very comfy pillows, & steps towards the chair where the book sat. As soon as his fingers wrapped around the spin & picked up the book - he immediately noticed something odd about the book. He shifted it in his hands, feeling its weight - it was oddly heavy - there werenโt a large amount of pages, & the spine wasnโt made of any heavy material.ย
He opened the book, & didnโt see anything out of the ordinary, until he started turning through the pages - when he reached the middle of the book, he found a pocket cut out from all the pages. Inside the pocket was a time turner, small bottle, & an envelope. He picked up one of each item, examining them as if they were ancient artifacts - the time turner & the bottle had little tags attached to them. The boy continued to examine them until he got to the envelope. He turned it around to see if it had a name addressed to it.ย
โTo my boyโ is all it read.ย
The boy knew that a large amount of the items in the room of requirement belonged to other students from the past, so it could be a long shot that the envelope was for him. Still, he could help but have the smallest of hopes. He would know until he opened it. Taking out the small folded card, he read its contents.ย
โMy son, Iโve had this feeling that I wonโt be there to watch you when you open this. Itโs a saddening feeling for me, but I hope you have a sense of peace in some way.โย
โThis has to be for meโ he thought to himself. He continued to read the note.
โThat being said, I hope you find these gifts- if not useful, then remembering of me.ย
Share the bottle with your father & Sallow, a little reminiscing never hurts.ย
Just in the corner of the note, he saw initials, her initials.ย
He smiled softly. Putting the envelope down, he looked at the time turner first, reading the tagย
โHelped me get to classes on time, hope it does the same for you too.โย
He was careful not to turn it fully - it was obviously worn, but not rusted or scratched. Just used. The boy gently put down the time turner, & picked up the bottle.ย
He noticed it was made from a special goblin metal, the detail on it was beautiful. Swirls & twisted metal adorned it. He read the tag tied to the cap.ย
โTwo idiots + Ominis โ>โ
He followed the arrow on the tag, & turned it around.ย
โAsk Deek for a pensiveโ
