if any kind soul could dm me a link for part 2 🥺😭
the Pitt season 2 finale - the last scene just 😭 and as much as I want that for Robby and as great fanfic fodder as it is…
Bringing the baby home would be the completely wrong move for him right now. Depressed and burnt out as he is, he needs to focus on healing himself and he can’t do that if he’s trying to raise a baby, that’s like the opposite of looking out for yourself.
I got the impression he was saying those sweet reassurances to his inner abandoned 8year old as much as he was to baby Jane Doe and that is, hopefully, the jumpstart to a desire to get the help he needs.
Will I read fanfics where he does bring the baby home? Absolutely. But I ADORE the idea of Jack finding him trying to figure out kinship fostering and then going ‘oh baby, no. This baby’s not the answer.’ And Robby having another breakdown because wtf Jack he was dancing with her in the dark and everything only for it to come out that Robby doesn’t want to go on his trip alone but he has no one to go with him, Noelle thinks it’s a mid life crisis trip, so who - ?
But Jack will, because that’s what it always comes down to. ‘You and me’, right? And Jack sends Robby home to his place to wait until he’s done shift and they say goodbye to the baby together and then Robby has to confront his real feelings for Jack and then it’s Rabbot time y’all 🥺
I got caught up in The Pitt while watching The Pitt but now I’m fully caught up and Dustin Henderson is being bratty in my head about all the things I promised to write about him and Steve
Aka sorry I spaced and congrats passing 300 fics on ao3!!
Student: Mr Harrington, what's your wife like?
Steve, who has been "married" to Dustin for ten years: Imagine Ms Frizzle but evil.
LOL YES
Steve takes Dustin to an observatory for an open public night for his birthday and there’s a quick 15 minute presentation about the birth and use of general relativity to explain the ongoing understanding of the gravitational pull of planetary orbits in the solar system and Dustin speaks to the theoretical physicist afterwards for a full hour about general relativity and wormholes and how the easy answer for exotic matter would be to borrow from an alternate dimension and why wouldn’t they assume alternate dimensions are real until they can prove they aren’t isn’t that that point of theoretical physics? And the astronomy undergrad there volunteering asks Steve if he’s in classes with Dustin and if they’re studying the same thing and Steve is like lollll no I’m the sound effects guy at a radio station and Dustin’s still got a month left of junior year. High school.
And Dustin is HYPED UP GLOWING when they leave and Steve can see the volunteer talking to the physicist while they’re leaving and he’s so proud of Dustin but also like shit he better not open another wormhole
I love how often steddie fanart could also be Dusteve fanart since Dustin copied Eddie’s hair in s5.
Omg…this has opened up to me a world of possibilities
Clocked out my millionth shift in a row and I’m off for a long weekend now so this calls for wine and finally writing my newest dusteve idea right???
New fic!
This can’t be The End
Thank you for all the asks, this short multi chapter should hopefully fulfill some of them. Warning! This contains MCD, heavy angst, and grief. But I promise everyone will end up alive and well in the end. Likely to be around 5 chapters if I can keep myself in check 😅

Ahhhh!! 😍
"Oh my god, this is the best- is this an actual autograph?! I love you so much. Best birthday ever." Dustin rambled out, turning the comic over in his hands. Steve smiled to himself, knowingly, it'd been hard to chase that down, and he'd spent more than he should have, but Dustin was turning 20.
Dustin looked up, meeting his eyes with a bright grin. "You're the best. Thank you."
"It's no problem, I'm glad you like it." Steve said quietly. Everyone else had left the party hours ago, and it was nearly midnight. Steve didn't want to give it to him in front of the others, but and he was happy to stay late at Dustin's dorm.
Dustin put the comic down on his coffee table and leaned over to pull Steve in for a hug, which Steve happily melted into. It always felt right, natural, and unfortunately needed.
"Seriously," Dustin whispered, leaning back some. "Thank you so much."
Steve shook his head, barely noticeably. "Anything for you. I love you too."
Steve hesitated for only a moment, before crossing the short distance between their lips, and kissing him. Just lightly. Briefly. But, Dustin froze. He didn't move.
When they pulled away, Steve took in Dustin's expression. Shock. Confusion.
Discomfort.
"I-" Steve started, heart beginning to thump uncomfortably in his chest. "No? I thought... You said you loved me."
Dustin let out a shakey exhale, as though he'd been winded. "I...I do, I just. I meant like a brother? I'm not..."
"You're not in love with me?" Steve asked, feeling a horrible sense of déjà vu. Dustin didn't say anything, and looked about ready to cry. He'd ruined his birthday. Steve stood, legs feeling heavy.
"Sorry, I'm... I'll go." Steve told him, unable to meet his eyes again. "I'm sorry."
"Steve..." Dustin protested weakly, but Steve waved him off.
"It's okay, I'm-" used to it. "I'm going home. It's okay."
"Steve!"
"I'm sorry."
Gooooooosh I’m such a sucker for angst/doomed ship things
I started writing a thing where Dustin can’t help but try to find out whether Robin was talking about Steve’s dick when she makes that comment when they’re talking about the helicopter not fitting but I’m at work and I feel like I morally shouldn’t be writing about dicks while I’m working even if it’s Steve Harrington’s 🤣
Steve shows up with Dustin to hang out during D&D and he steals Dustin’s sunglasses before flopping onto the couch and Eddie goes over the top with his performance bc of his audience and when they’re finally over and half the party has died Dustin goes over to Steve like ‘Damn I can’t believe he can sleep through all that’ and flops on his legs to wake him up and Eddie tries not to be disappointed

What happens when an Alpha decides it’s safer to erase himself than risk being wrong?
Steve Harrington had spent years on suppressants, convinced he was a failed Alpha after Nancy left him for Omega Jonathan Byers. Dustin Henderson—a Latent who hadn’t presented yet past sixteen—realized Steve was self-destructing when he discovered his best friend in Alpha drop.
This is the story where they discover that being each other’s person has nothing to do with designation stereotypes and everything to do with choice.
(Title taken from the song: Owner Of A Lonely Heart by Yes.)
TW : A/B/O dynamics, addiction and self-worth issues, period‑typical homophobia and disability (Max is blind). Some themes are heavy and take time to unfold. This is ultimately a happily‑ever‑after story, and consensual, age‑appropriate porn with feelings appears later.
Can’t wait to read this!!!!!
Chapter 3!!!
When the Lights Go Out
(Now with alternating POV👀)
Since asexual Steve was talked about the other day I’ve been thinking about the dynamic of Steve, who keeps optimistically trying to date around to find someone who feels like a good fit for him only he’s attached at the hip to Dustin, who, during a late night talk night admits he doesn’t really care about dating bc he just wants to be with Steve as much as possible forever and he thinks there’s something ‘wrong’ with his sex drive anyways so it’s whatever so Steve can just keep dating but Dustin just still wants to be able to be around all the time and it sends Steve into rethinking things and trying to figure out a) what Dustin means because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him, he’s perfect and b) what it means that it’s such a relief Dustin wants to just be around forever
Like are they too codependent or are they already in love??
Dustin gets overwhelmingly mad about whatever and can only feel better after Steve just lays on top of him and holds him down a while, which they find out kind of accidentally starting one time Steve ends up bodily holding him back from joining a bar fight or something and doesn’t let go for awhile until he’s chill
Dustin kissed his cheek and handed Steve a birthday card. He didn't really want to open it, knowing Dustin likely went above and beyond for his 60th. He'd been threatening something big since Steve had turned 55, but Steve really didn't care that much. He was happy with just a new sweater, a cake, and to see people he loved. Most hadn't been available, which he understood. His birthday fell on a Tuesday this year, and everyone was busy. At least Dustin was here, obviously, and Robin managed to take a few days out of work to come by.
"Come on, open it." Dustin said, nudging him.
"I like the card," Steve told him. Minions dressed as ewoks, it tickled him; he loved those weird little guys. Dustin just hummed, knowing he would. Being together for over thirty years would to that to a person. "Okay, let's see..."
Steve cracked it open, popping on his reading glasses and readjusting his focus onto the text.
"Go outside?" Steve repeated the text, looking up at Dustin and Robin. "You didn't do something stupid like buying me a car, did you?"
"No," Dustin said with a twinkle in his eyes. "Not that kind of stupid, anyway."
"Come on, get up old man. Let's go." Robin said, grabbing his arm and pulling on his jacket. "Let's go."
Steve faked an exasperated sigh, standing and making his way towards the front door from the kitchen. "I can't even imagine what you'd-" Steve opened the door, and froze.
"Hi Dad," Leah said with a big smile, using her free hand to wave baby Claire's hand, with Robin (male) at her side until he saw his grandpa. He went running, jumping up into Steve's arms regardless of him being prepared for it or not. "Grandpa!" Robby screeched, not quite able to control his volume yet at 3.
Luke stood beside her, holding up a big happy birthday banner. "Dad, come look!"
Steve was already nearly crying, thinking they'd all been busy today, but as soon as he looked past them and saw a brand new, very shiny RV sitting in the Harrington driveway, he nearly broke.
"Us, Robin, and the kids and grandkids are going to all go on summer vacation together. One big road trip with everyone." Dustin said, coming up along side him, wrapping an arm around his waist. Steve wiped at his face, trying not actually cry in front of his kids. "How'd I do?"
"That," Steve gestured at the RV, "was extremely stupid. And perfect."
"I love you too," Dustin said, leaning against him. "I expect you in lingerie for my 60th."
"Dad!" Twin voices yelled, scandalized.
"You should be happy we're still having sex at our age!" Dustin shot back, and Steve thought he would have been happy just hearing them all in the house again, bickering.
