Welcome to Star’s carnival where the gates are open and anyone brave enough is welcome to interact with me and my characters!

Now, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time! I’ll be introducing my OC’s one by one, so step closer and meet the stars themselves!

*gesturing to the far end of the stage.* We have our wonderful Sage Prisley Grey!

Sage Prisley Grey is our most bubbly character! A beloved clown who loves to perform for kids and putting smiles on their dear faces. She’s a dreamy girl with a big imagination and wonders what could be on the outside of her own small town. She’s enthusiastic, has the courage to speak up for herself, and most importantly.. she runs her very own cotton candy stand and interacts kindly with those she meets. She’s always open for a good talk with her beautiful ginger hair and freckled features! 🍭💭

And now.. welcome to the stage,

*a boy pops out from behind the curtains, adorned in jester accessories. His face was painted white with black paint streaking down his eyes, lips painted black aswell.* Our wonderful boy Kai! Full name- MALAKAI!

He’s our wonderful trickster, our very own amazing jester. He perform jokes, riddles, songs, dances, acrobatics, and mockery to amuse a court or crowd. He tells truth through jokes, subtly mocking a higher power and getting away with it because he’s funny! He’s sharp and absolutely perceptive, turning secrets into on stage performances because he can. He’s a clever boy, amusing, but sometimes manipulative. Anyone could be charmed by that grin of his, or the messy dark mullet he insists on keeping because it makes him look good. Need someone humbled? You can count on him to embarrass them publicly! Laughter can be used as a tool, not just entertainment. 🎡⚡️

And there we have it folks, our wonderful stars have finally been introduced. More will be welcomed onto stage very soon. The stage is set, and the gates are officially open. Step right up and let the fun begin!

⭐️ I’m so sorry. Life has been so stressful on me lately and everything’s just been busy non-stop. I’ll make sure to reply to any last asks on Henry’s account, then I’ll be gone.

Hello my.. probably favourite clown. I don’t mean to be a nuisance but I’d like you to meet Malakai! Call him Kai for short. He’s my amazing jester that works at my carnival every now and then.. which I’m scared to invite you to because you might eat our audience.

Anyway, he’s kind. You don’t need to worry about him being too loud and proud like somebody.. (looking at Henry.) Malakai is a bit weird given he’s not human but maybe you’ll see him as one of your kids since your uh.. other ones didn’t quite make it.

*A boy peeps out from behind a curtain that has just appeared in thin air, not connected to anything! His face is painted white, black paint streaked hastily down his eyes. He had lips painted on aswell, a wide almost uncanny yet charming smile.*

*bells jingle as he steps out from behind the curtain, arms thrown wide in the air likes he’s about to perform.* “Hello my lady and the fellow gentlemen with her! Including the wonderful earth woman herself.” *he bows politely.*

*With one swift flick of his wrist, the curtain disappears, beams of lights appearing instead. He’s showered in the gleam.* “I’m Kai: your jester, your grin, your personal cure for dullness!”

*A non existent crowd woos from behind, eery, like they were trapped souls no one could see.*

*the clown kind of slightly stands in front of the Earthwoman. It watches intently though, admittedly interested and amused.* Ohohoho, what a show.

*kinda peeks around Pennywise* Okay, I have questions. Are you the same... species? One of these Outsider creatures from the void in between universes, the todash space? Also with an insectoid or arachnid form as last compresensible form before the actual one? Also feeding on some sort of extreme emotion? Also bound to a specific object to place?

*Malakai emerges from the ground beside Pennywise, grin stretched wide.* “you see my dear friend, I am a liminal performance entity.” *He moves too smooth and precise when he steps away from the clown, curtains opening again.* “Instead of insectoid horror, my last comprehensible form is abstract, not biological.”

holy yap but anyway, Malakai’s last comprehensible form is the shape the human mind invents when it can no longer perceive him as a person, but refuses to let him become nothing.. I hope that makes sense.

*Malakai spins towards his stage and bounces onto it, landing perfectly. He was in the middle of attempting to perform dancing, but stepped on a crown to imitate the way he would like to step on royals.* “do not fret! For I do not feed on fear but engagement and attention. I have no interest in scaring you half to death.”

He’s bound to a plushie.

*holds up a The plushie is a small, palm-sized jester doll sewn from worn black and white fabric, its body slightly underfilled so it slumps naturally when set down. It has long, thin limbs, visible stitching, and a soft two-pronged jester cap with tiny bells that don’t always ring when moved. One button eye is black, the other white, and its stitched smile is neat and restrained.*

so, whatever town I bring it to.. he can venture, but he can’t go anywhere outside the town unless the plushies with him. WHICH, will never happen because I have it at all times.

I suppose he’s the opposite and different to Pennywise.. He’s a trickster entity that exists to provoke, amuse, and reveal, not to physically consume or murder. His danger is psychological, theatrical, and emotional, not corporeal.

Malakai droops dramatically as he listens to Star’s words, body folding inhumanly to the side, a frown forming. “Oh, I am trapped.. so very trapped..” He stands upright, fully.

“..And so on..” the stage collapses and he appears beside Star, bowing. “I can’t shapeshift like Pennywise can though.., I have one chosen interface with reality: the jester. It is a role, not a disguise.” He throws his arms out again almost theatrically, his tongue poking out playfully.

*Pennywise gives a nod as IT observes the jester, while also listening.* I see. Most of... my "species", so to say I suppose, are bound to specific places and objects as well. I myself am an exception, you could say. If it wasn't for the meteor fragments placed around Derry as a border I'd be able to leave and expand my reach.

*She examines the plushie, nodding along while she listens.* Oh okay, so not the same species then. But kind of a similar one?

*She looks at Kai again, turning her attention a little more directly to him.* So you feed on attention and engagement? That's why you chose the jester act? Oh and also... What is this psycological danger about you?

*Malakai stays silent, head tilted to the side as he stares at the earthwoman. He doesn’t say anything for awhile, until now when he finally decides he wants to answer:* “I can destabilize people psychologically through illusions if they engage with me long enough or refuse to disengage.”

*he slumps down onto a stool that had just magically appeared out of nowhere.* “but because you are such special guests, Star has ordered me not to do anything or she’ll rip the plushies head off.. and then my head will go—“ *his head suddenly bursts into billions of glitter.* “—Kaboom!”

*he shakes his neck like he just got whiplash, all of the pieces of his head coming together again. He’s grinning, sharp fangs on full view now.* “the last time I was properly satisfied was after a delightful little conversation with a very curious girl. She simply could not stop watching.”

*He produces a folded newspaper with a flourish, tapping the headline.* “Turns out, prolonged attention does funny things to people. She’s in an institution now. Her husband did not survive the revelation.”

*Malakai’s smile curves a little wider as he taps the image.*

“Husband murdered by insane wife after attending a carnival.”

*The headline screams from the paper, the photo grainy and overexposed. The woman in it looks small and lost, dark hair falling around her face, eyes wide and unfocused, staring past the camera. There is still a trace of softness in her features, a cheek or a mouth that might have smiled once, but it is buried under strain.*

*Malakai taps the image with a grin.* “Oh, look. She’s there. Wasn’t she so pretty before… y’know…” *He giggles quietly, tilting his head.*

He’s a bit morally grey.. *Star mutters.*

*She listens with interest, nodding along as she does so.* Ah, I see. That makes a lot of sense then. Thanks for deciding to answer. Oh, that also sounds kind of symbolic. Like it's bad for you to indulge too much, not knowing a limit, getting too greedy. And so on.

*She also nods in agreement with what Star said* Yeah, morally grey described it, I guess. But, no judgement. You know, who am I to judge, looking at the company I'm willingly in.

*Pennywise nods as well, pretty much fully ignoring that little jab at IT there. Having a look at the newspaper as well while IT listens to the information given* Hmm...

*Then IT looks at the both of then, acknowledging the part of not doing anything to IT and ITs company.* You wouldn't be able to do anything on me, as I'm not human. And the understanding of not doing anything to her... That'd simply knowing what's good for you. Both of you. *IT grins*

“You should see my sister.” *Malakai comments, tapping his chin.* “Sage is corporeal but enhanced, a mimetic trickster tied to the “human world”.” He lowers himself to the ground and sits cross-legged, a bit of boredom lingering in his features.

Just then, a clown with a layered pastel dress in pink, mint, and yellow with puffed sleeves and tiny pom-poms appears. Her oversized pastel shoes and small floppy jester hat with bells match, while ribbons trail from her wrists and waist. White gloves and soft face paint with rosy cheeks complete her bright, whimsical look, charming and playful but hiding her deadly precision. She waves, pure silence.

(oh also Ty for the rp. I write ALOT. But it helps me reflect more on my characters and figure them out. This is fun.)

*She listens and watches rather interested, nodding. She gives a wave at Sage as well. She's obviously neither worried nor scared. Well, looking at "who" she spends time with that isn't all that surprising.*

*She looks at Kai.* Tied to the human world how? Like to the actual world or also a specific thing?

*Then she looks at Star.* Oh, how did you happen to meet these two?

*Pennywise listens as well, watching Sage especially as she appears. Staying close to Vici, sort of looming in a more or less protective way. While admittedly interested in these creatured similar but at the same time not at all, IT is more focused on maintaining a "don't you do anything reckless" aura.*

*Malakai is now hanging off the edge of his stage, one he’d obviously spawned from the air again. He’s watching his sister closely, watching as she munches on a human finger nearby.* “She can do whatever she wants. Leave, go to different country’s, towns, explore. Except she can’t leave earth. Ever.”

*He sits up, furrowing his brows a little when Sage nibbles on the top of the finger, cheeks a little puffed out.* “It’s a curse. She killed when she wasn’t meant to. She was supposed to delight, distract, charm. That was her path, but changing it bound her to earth.” He picks up a pebble and flicks it towards Sage.

The pebble stops midway before hitting Sage, floating there in a red aura holding it in place. “She’s overpowered in my opinion..” he mutters. “..you should see the crazy stuff she can do without those pesky ribbons.”

*Star was still wiggling Malakai’s plushie infront of Pennywise to get a reaction, but paused when she was asked a question.*

“Oh, well.. I’m a ringmaster of course. They’re performers. Good ones. They had come to me for performance opportunities and I accepted because I needed more people at my carnival,” *she plops down beside Sage who’s still chewing at her half eaten finger, blood dripping down her chin.* “but later on most people in our crowd that would watch us perform and play began to disappear, and it was because of ..” she looks towards Malakai and Sage who are grinning a little too proudly. “I know I should’ve gotten rid of them but they’re good company.. and who knows what else they could do if I really had let them go.”

*Sage lifted her hand, her ribbon slowly untangling itself from her wrist. It raises in the air and slithers along the grass towards a nearby pedestrian. The fabric grows thicker, and suddenly it’s wrapping and tightening itself around the strangers neck. It tugs, and the pedestrian struggles and chokes out useless pleas before flopping pathetically to the ground. Sage claps and bounces upwards, floating towards the body like a bubble. She lowers herself over the person gracefully and tilts her head. She’s hungry.*

*A boy peeps out from behind a curtain that has just appeared in thin air, not connected to anything! His face is painted white, black paint streaked hastily down his eyes. He had lips painted on aswell, a wide almost uncanny yet charming smile.*

*bells jingle as he steps out from behind the curtain, arms thrown wide in the air likes he’s about to perform.* “Hello my lady and the fellow gentlemen with her! Including the wonderful earth woman herself.” *he bows politely.*

*With one swift flick of his wrist, the curtain disappears, beams of lights appearing instead. He’s showered in the gleam.* “I’m Kai: your jester, your grin, your personal cure for dullness!”

*A non existent crowd woos from behind, eery, like they were trapped souls no one could see.*

*the clown kind of slightly stands in front of the Earthwoman. It watches intently though, admittedly interested and amused.* Ohohoho, what a show.

*kinda peeks around Pennywise* Okay, I have questions. Are you the same... species? One of these Outsider creatures from the void in between universes, the todash space? Also with an insectoid or arachnid form as last compresensible form before the actual one? Also feeding on some sort of extreme emotion? Also bound to a specific object to place?

*Malakai emerges from the ground beside Pennywise, grin stretched wide.* “you see my dear friend, I am a liminal performance entity.” *He moves too smooth and precise when he steps away from the clown, curtains opening again.* “Instead of insectoid horror, my last comprehensible form is abstract, not biological.”

holy yap but anyway, Malakai’s last comprehensible form is the shape the human mind invents when it can no longer perceive him as a person, but refuses to let him become nothing.. I hope that makes sense.

*Malakai spins towards his stage and bounces onto it, landing perfectly. He was in the middle of attempting to perform dancing, but stepped on a crown to imitate the way he would like to step on royals.* “do not fret! For I do not feed on fear but engagement and attention. I have no interest in scaring you half to death.”

He’s bound to a plushie.

*holds up a The plushie is a small, palm-sized jester doll sewn from worn black and white fabric, its body slightly underfilled so it slumps naturally when set down. It has long, thin limbs, visible stitching, and a soft two-pronged jester cap with tiny bells that don’t always ring when moved. One button eye is black, the other white, and its stitched smile is neat and restrained.*

so, whatever town I bring it to.. he can venture, but he can’t go anywhere outside the town unless the plushies with him. WHICH, will never happen because I have it at all times.

I suppose he’s the opposite and different to Pennywise.. He’s a trickster entity that exists to provoke, amuse, and reveal, not to physically consume or murder. His danger is psychological, theatrical, and emotional, not corporeal.

Malakai droops dramatically as he listens to Star’s words, body folding inhumanly to the side, a frown forming. “Oh, I am trapped.. so very trapped..” He stands upright, fully.

“..And so on..” the stage collapses and he appears beside Star, bowing. “I can’t shapeshift like Pennywise can though.., I have one chosen interface with reality: the jester. It is a role, not a disguise.” He throws his arms out again almost theatrically, his tongue poking out playfully.

*Pennywise gives a nod as IT observes the jester, while also listening.* I see. Most of... my "species", so to say I suppose, are bound to specific places and objects as well. I myself am an exception, you could say. If it wasn't for the meteor fragments placed around Derry as a border I'd be able to leave and expand my reach.

*She examines the plushie, nodding along while she listens.* Oh okay, so not the same species then. But kind of a similar one?

*She looks at Kai again, turning her attention a little more directly to him.* So you feed on attention and engagement? That's why you chose the jester act? Oh and also... What is this psycological danger about you?

*Malakai stays silent, head tilted to the side as he stares at the earthwoman. He doesn’t say anything for awhile, until now when he finally decides he wants to answer:* “I can destabilize people psychologically through illusions if they engage with me long enough or refuse to disengage.”

*he slumps down onto a stool that had just magically appeared out of nowhere.* “but because you are such special guests, Star has ordered me not to do anything or she’ll rip the plushies head off.. and then my head will go—“ *his head suddenly bursts into billions of glitter.* “—Kaboom!”

*he shakes his neck like he just got whiplash, all of the pieces of his head coming together again. He’s grinning, sharp fangs on full view now.* “the last time I was properly satisfied was after a delightful little conversation with a very curious girl. She simply could not stop watching.”

*He produces a folded newspaper with a flourish, tapping the headline.* “Turns out, prolonged attention does funny things to people. She’s in an institution now. Her husband did not survive the revelation.”

*Malakai’s smile curves a little wider as he taps the image.*

“Husband murdered by insane wife after attending a carnival.”

*The headline screams from the paper, the photo grainy and overexposed. The woman in it looks small and lost, dark hair falling around her face, eyes wide and unfocused, staring past the camera. There is still a trace of softness in her features, a cheek or a mouth that might have smiled once, but it is buried under strain.*

*Malakai taps the image with a grin.* “Oh, look. She’s there. Wasn’t she so pretty before… y’know…” *He giggles quietly, tilting his head.*

He’s a bit morally grey.. *Star mutters.*
