Hugging the two best things to come out of 2020

if my best friend doesn’t realize my husband murdered me after i don’t show up for our tuesday night date at olive garden, so then she kills him to avenge me with the help of my sister, then i don’t want it.
evermore | Taylor Swift
Can we please talk about how the bridge to Coney Island is a reference to Jake, John, Harry, and Calvin?
Jake: “Were you standing in the hallway with a big cake, happy birthday”
John: “Did I paint your bluest skies the darkest grey?”
Harry: “And when I got into the accident , the sight that flashed before me was your face”
Calvin: “But when I walked up to the podium, I think that forgot to say your name”
Maybe while re-recording, she was reminded of the moments when her past relationships went downhill. I find this all really interesting and I knew that the bridge was important but I think I see it now. I could be wrong, but it’s fun to theorize ✨❤️
Toothless can recognise his loved ones by using his acute sense of smell.
Hiccup and Toothless | Through Years.
What House would Hiccup even be in if he was on Hogwarts?
Gryffindor? I mean, have you seen the movies and the tv-shows? He has a healthy sense of fear in the beginning of the first movie, but once he was brave enough to go and befriend a dragon, confront his entire village for what he believes was right, and defeat a dragon the size of a mountain, he isn’t much of a wimp, is he? And let’s be fair, Hiccup has always been more of the chivalrous type.
Slytherin? Maybe? Hiccup is a very ambitious person. Once he sets his mind on something, he’ll do anything to see it through to the very end. At first it was in becoming a dragon killer his village could be proud of and now it’s to protect dragons and spread peace across the Archipelago. He’s also creative and resourceful, he’s always capable of coming up with these last minute plans that pretty much always succeeds. Like Ruff has stated once before, ‘he always knows how to fix it’. As for being cunning, that’s not too much of a problem for him either, is it?
Hufflepuff? If anyone is loyal to his friends, his father, the dragons, and his cause, it’s him! He has always been one a person could trust, he fights for what he thinks is right. He’s a kindhearted soul, particularly to dragons and his loved ones. He was never the one to shy away from hardwork. He spends weeks perfecting Toothless’ flight! So is he a Hufflepuff
Ravenclaw? I mean, if anyone is intelligent, it’s him, right? Look at all that he invents! At his plans! He’s a smart cookie and we all know it! He has wit, he’s been shown to be wiser beyond his years, and I don’t even need to repeat myself on his ability to be creative. That last part also kinda goes hand in hand with his ingenuity too.
So seriously, which House would Hiccup even be a part of? And to which house would the other Riders even belong to?
So I just realized something incredibly awesome.
So everyone knows that Hogwarts Castle is hidden somewhere in the Scottish highlands, and was built there in the Early Middle Ages (c.993 AD) according to most sources, by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin, along with an unnamed wizard architect.
For those who are unfamiliar with this Scottish geography these are the Scottish Highlands:
Everyone also knows that How to Train Your Dragon’s isle of Berk is supposedly up near Northwest Europe (based on terrain/native accents), and that, judging by the cultural habits of Berk’s inhabitants (they’re Vikings), the story of Httyd could have taken place in the real world anywhere within the Viking Age of Europe (between 800AD and 1066AD).
I also just learned an interesting tid-bit.
According to Cressida Cowell, the author of the books, upon which the Httyd franchise is based, the isle of Berk is based on a real uninhabited Island off the the West Cost of Scotland in the Hebridean Sea.
So somewhere around here:
So basically, what this all boils down to is that Hogwarts Castle was built and existed not just at the same time as the events of How to Train Your Dragon, but also that the two settings were literally RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER, UP IN NORTHWESTERN SCOTLAND.
JUST LOOK
LOOK HOW CLOSE THEY ARE.
Now, I dunno how many people out there who are into both Httyd and Harry Potter. But even so, can you imagine how cool it’d be if the Characters from Httyd stumbled into the mainland and discovered a newly founded Hogwarts, possibly before all the extra security and unplottable-ness was added, maybe while the Founders are STILL ALIVE?
Let Me Rephrase.

HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!?!?!?!
I’m not that good at writing fanfic and can’t quite draw that well. But if there is SOMEONE, ANYONE that could write a story, or draw a thing to make this happen, I can probably find them here.

folklore is just so meaty. i feel like there’s a lot to chew on. a lot to digest. since it’s not directly about her public life, which we obviously keep a good pulse on, i can’t immediately extract the meaning/references and then apply it to my life. i need time to really focus and understand the stories these songs are telling, and then find the personal meaning.
the sound and production and vocals and imagery are great so i know i love it, but i need more time with the lyrics and stories. so i’m not like jumping up and down screaming that this is the best thing taylor has ever made, not because i definitely dont think it is, but because i need more time to process to be able to honestly say that.
anyway, i really only wrote this in case it helps anyone else who may feel bad not being able to honestly and wholeheartedly say its their favorite right now.
