I've said it before and I'll say it again. They are completely comfortable pissing off homophobes to extreme degrees and have already done so many times.

Let me remind you that the most recent thing they did was talk about queerness in children and how it coexists with being a child and is pure and innocent and good and beautiful. They said this all directly, a speech about it going viral, in plain view of one of homophobes' biggest stereotypes: that queerness is dirty, sexualizes children, and that any queer child existing is them being forced to be gay by the adults in their life and that that should be considered abuse.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If they had an issue with very directly pissing off homophobes, they would have had an issue with very directly pissing off homophobes by now.

I know we've been queerbaited before. But not once in the show have they backed off or hesitated on this.
