so i and other people all found it very odd that a lot of the trailer appears to be in some sort of cave, while the actual fights aren’t in a cave whatsoever.
i had thought about this lack of continuity before, but hadn’t made a connection until just now— in this section ⤵️
the anime shows dot with his headband, but in the actual manga scene, dot has already activated the ira kreuz and taken his headband off. which i thought was weird, but didn’t think about it too harshly
earlier, someone brought up to me that perhaps mash fighting the dragon is filler, given that the only manga-canon time mash fights a dragon is the epilogue.
so to that i say, maybe all of the cave shit is filler???? which includes dot right there???
this isn’t to say that it’s bullshit filler though. it could still be trimagicathalon relevant, and possibly due to the arc needing to be a touch longer for the sake of cutting off the season at the right point in the manga without just throwing in something unrelated to pad for time.
regardless. it’s certainly still odd. and odd that dot would use machine gun again??? bro has other moves he can use.
and, not to disregard everything i just said, but it could also be a trailer only thing.
there’s still a while until the season starts, so they COULD just be bullshitting the clips included and didn’t anticipate people like me behaving like this about them being unusual.
like, they could have just given dot the headband in order to not give away the ira kreuz thing in the trailer. or it could be an animation error, but i feel like that’s maybe too odd of an error to make?? dunno. i’m not an animator
still doesn’t explain the cave thing tho. there was no need for changing the bg unless this actually IS filler fights.
ANYWAYS. holy yap this was excessive. thank u for reading i will continue to be very annoying about this trailer for a good while so be prepared for my loud ass to keep posting for the next couple days :)
