(in my au) I think when they were younger, Zanka would have been able to beat Jabber in a fight because Jabber hadn't been on the streets for long after losing his momma and he'd have been malnourished. Jabber tho did have that fight in him, and got a few good punches in, but Zanka had the upper hand due to being healthier/having formal martial arts training. Zanka def saw Jabber as a feral little malnourished kitten, and it didn't help that Jabber followed Zanka around everywhere he went and also kept sneaking into the same bed as him (touch starved).
