trump says he's just going to declare the Strait of Hormuz US territory once Iran's "defeated"

said it at a police academy rally that was supposed to be about crime stats, not foreign policy lol.

"I will be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States."

quick reality check: the US has never controlled this strait. it's split between Iran and Oman, ~20% of the world's oil moves through it, and international law protects free passage through it. legal experts already shot down his earlier idea to charge ships a toll to pass through — actually claiming it as land is a whole other level.

Iran's response was basically "you can't tweet your way into owning a strait."

so quick recap: Trump tore down the East Wing to build a 90,000 sq ft ballroom. an appeals court said "actually you needed Congress's permission for that" and blocked construction. Trump's response? straight to the Supreme Court.

the project is already 65% done — five stories underground, 70 feet up — so this isn't hypothetical, there's an actual half-built structure sitting on White House grounds right now.

and the money trail is WILD. corporate donors, a nonprofit, a government account normally used for minor repairs — one judge literally called it a "Rube Goldberg machine."

Trump just ordered the Navy to rip a $13 BILLION aircraft carrier apart because he doesn't like "digital"
