My health, both physical and mental, has been very crappy lately. Since my last drawing posted, I wasn't able to draw (or barely sketching something weeks ago). I think I burned myself out. I fainted in the bus back home after work last week and since then I can't seem to be able to recharge my batteries. So next week I'm on break. I hope I'll soon be able to draw again... I have three more illustrations/gifts to do, two Felix fanarts and one based on the song Side Effects.
There aren't much people following my stuff but I enjoy drawing fanarts of the guys and sharing them. I whish I had times to wander more into the fandom and find muts. When I'll be back on the rails of creativity, I would love to do collabs or stuff alike. Maybe with fanfic writers ? Idk. We'll see~✨

I'm surprisingly proud and very happy with this one ! Idk if you get that feeling too but when it's been some time since my last big drawing session it feels like I draw better ? Same when I write. Idk how to explain that feeling but everything feels smoother, easier... And here I think it's one of my best drawings of all time. I'm doing it for someone that means a damn lot to me, based on actual pictures my friends and I took at the show.

This is my first post here,and I want to share a reflection of mine about Skz and their trajectory throughout the years. English is not my first language,so I apologise for any mistakes. Feel free to debate about my opinion,respectfully! I first shared this elsewhere, but I thought tumblr might be the best place for me,so here is my perspective-
Wether you like Stray Kids or not,there is one thing that at least for me,is krystal clear:Stray kids changed the kpop industry. Rookies writing their own songs:too noisy,too loud,too different,too…real. 8 literal teenagers who were discovering life,writing about their own stories and experiences,daring to share their paths with honesty. Something that in 2018-2019 wasn’t that common. In that time,the main theme of kpop was love songs and softer beats,such as “What is love?” By TWICE. But then,out of nowhere,a group of rookies debuts with an odd song called “District 9”. Annoying sirens blaring,chaos,messy energy. And that approach made people…confused,I’d say.
Self-production wasn’t exactly common.BTS and BigBang,for example,had their producers inside their groups,such as BTS’s rap-line members and G-Dragon,but they weren’t the norm. They were an exception. And suddenly,what people used to hate as too noisy and too raw,too honest,became what people crave the most now-truth. They never showed us nothing but the truth in their lyrics. They showed us immaturity in the beggining,with fears and doubts.And then,their whole trajectory as people. Stray kids made a huge difference in the industry,and I can sense that despite that,JYP seemed to be sure about it. Giving rookies such a enormous power of self writing was…risky,to say the least. But in the end,it became what people desire the most.
I absolutely love how we can see their growth trough their music,because they weren’t just given songs that they were supposed to perform perfectly. They ripped their hearts open,flooded papers with their feelings,and got up on stages to change the world they lived in. Yes,Stray kids of 2018/2019 isn’t the same as now. They made many mistakes,they were immature. But something from that time never died inside them-that truthfulness and honesty. They never stopped being raw,loud and different. Because their songs are their weapons.Their hearts are their army. And for me,it’s incredibly beautiful to watch them grow. Past the mistakes,past the tears. Finally witnessing 8 flowers who bloomed brightly,and now,are claiming the good karma they deserve.
It’s just…so incredibly bold. For 2018,that kind of approach was absolutely jarring. But now,that’s why so many people love them. And I’m proud of that. Of them. Of this. I do acknowledge their mistakes. I do see the messed up things they did. But that only makes them more real. They aren’t perfect. Far from it, actually.They are 8 men who stepped onto a steady ground only to make it shake with sincerity. And seeing who and where they are now? Makes me feel like we’ve both won.
Disclaimer: I do not mean to claim that Stray Kids single-handedly revolutionized K-pop. My point is that their raw, personal style as rookies, and their growth from immaturity, changed the conversation and gave more space for self-produced, honest, experimental music. I know they aren’t the only ones, and I’m not putting them on a pedestal. I also acknowledge that they aren’t 100% self produced and had an entire production team behind them,specially in their early days,but that doesn’t take away the credit they deserve for their songs. Feel free to disagree with me,but please do so respectfully and without aggression.Real opinions are welcome,but straight up hate will not be tolerated.

As someone who isn't a Kpop fan (understand that Kpop isn't the music I enjoy the most and there are only a few bands I follow closely and buy albums from), Stray Kids is ground breaking. They changed many people's vision on the genre, both listeners and makers, making them curious for the next bands that will emerged. And thank to them for that !
I didn't get instantly into Stray Kids. First song heard was My Pace, then Double Knot, Miroh, and Side Effects finished to convinced me. And when I saw people shitting on Side Effects... Saying the band is inconsistent- but not because they are young and building up their skills but because they have "no concept"? I had a very boomer reaction: y'all don't like music, don't ya ? You're not curious, you actually don't give a shit, uh ? And yet, you'll go rampage if someone tells you your favs are just a product in a hyper capitalist system, right ? Sounds like jealousy to me and, unfortunately for them, they couldn't be reassured as the bands they support can't fight on the "self produced" stage against Stray Kids. Stray Kids also is a product. But not recognizing their talents, the work, and how good they are at what they do ? Even at their early stage ? That's one hell of a hypocrite behavior and it's sad af. Self produced or not, the point is the music and the delivery. And, sorry not sorry, what drew me and many others to Stray Kids and made us stay is that honesty, that raw energy, the way they don't fear doing noisy songs because they want to.
"But [insert band name] paved the way ! And they are thrust by a big company!" Yeah, true. But are they going the same way as every other bands ? They paved their own way allowing new bands to run out there. And- op highlighted that they aren't 100% self produced since there are teams helping them out... In an industry like Kpop, if you want to be successful and be able to keep up with the industry's pace, you can't be 100% self produced and that's ok ! A lot of artists NEED help to create, it's not just in kpop, not just in music, and even not just in art. And seriously, even with all the help of the world, the best recording studio, the best teams to polish their songs along with them... And yeah, a big company to put them on stage. If they hadn't a real vision and skills, they wouldn't be where they are now.

I've been to the Stray Kids concert in Paris in July !
I wanted to keep a nice memory of everything. It was A-MA-ZING. It was also my first concert. I was with my sister and her friend. Thank to them, I had an amazing time. But STAYs, SKZ and all the staff are also playing a big part in that core memory so I want to thank them all !
