The roofs were known as The Thief’s Highway. Garrett manuevered them with no problem. His feet barely touched them as he speeded his way across the rooftops. Hearing the other behind him, Garrett cursed under his breath. Usually he didn’t get caught. Seeing a dead end up ahead, he turned and slid down a slanted roof. His feet hit the ground and he ran down a few streets before taking the rooftops again.

Garrett slipped around a corner, into an alleyway. He pressed his back against the wall and waited for his pursuers to pass before he relaxed. He let out a pained breath and pulled the hand away that was pressed into his side. It was coated in blood. He groaned in pain. Noticing he wasn’t alone, he shot a glare at the other. “What are you staring at?” Garrett snapped. He really didn’t mean to sound so angry but he was. Usually he didn’t get caught off guard like this.

suicide squad; starter sentences.
“We’re bad guys, it’s what we do.”
“I’m bored. Play with me!”
“You got all dressed up for me?”
“Booga-booga-booga!”
“That is just a whole lot of pretty and a whole lot of crazy.”
“She thought she was curing him, but she was falling in love.”
“What is this? Cheerleading tryouts?”
“Bring the car around. We’re going for a drive.”
“You got a boyfriend?”
“Gentleman, ladies: what if Superman had decided to fly down, rip off the roof of the White House, and grab the president right out of the Oval Office. Who would'a stopped him?”
“If they get caught, we throw ‘em under the bus.”
“Don’t make me shoot you.”
“My job is to keep you alive until you die. You understand that?”
“Please don’t touch me, please don’t touch me…”
“It’s taken me some time, but I finally have them. The worst of the worst.”
“Talk about a workplace romance gone wrong.”
“Love your perfume. What is that, the stench of death?”
“Ooh, you’re cute! You want me? I’m all yours.”
“You wanna see something? YOU WANNA SEE SOMETHING?”
“Come on, Puddin’. Do it!”
“I’ll accept the consequences.”
“You might want to keep your mouth shut.”
“I love this guy. He’s so intense!”
“Blah blah blah blah blah blah. All of that chit chat’s gonna get you hurt.”
“Let’s do something fun.”
“Everyone’s has a weakness, and a weakness can be leverage.”
“In a world of monsters, this is the only way to protect the country.”
“I don’t know what they told you, but I’m a hitman, not a fireman, I don’t save people!”
“If this man shoots me, I want you to kill him and I want you to go clear my browser history.”
“You don’t kill as many people as I’ve killed and still sleep like a kitten, but feel shit like love.”
“I want to build a team of some very dangerous people, who I think can do some good.”
“This is the deal: You disobey me, you die. You try to escape, you die.You irritate or vex me… and guess what? You die.”
“Here’s to honor among thieves.”
“I’m known for being quite vexing, I’m just forewarning you…”
“Oh, I’m not gonna kill you… I’m just gonna hurt you really, really bad.”
“Would you die for me?”
“Would you live for me?”
“You might wanna work on your team motivation thing.”
“I live for these moments with you.”
“Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people?”
“Don’t forget: we’re the bad guys.”
“I love this guy!”
“Oh, he’s embarrassed of us… that’s so cute!”

“It’s not how much you steal. It’s what you steal.”
“Yes” said the person in the shadows “and what you stole will bring ill fortune. Give it back. I may not ask again.”
Garrett glanced over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes. “I don’t give back what I take.”
“Shame. Then it seems I must take, as well. Looking at your build, it should be easy.”
“It’s not the size that counts. It’s what you do with it.” Garrett had his hand behind him. With quick movements, he grabbed a flash bomb, throwing it to the ground. It exploded in a bright, white light. Using the distraction, he aimed his bow and shot it towards the ceiling with a roped arrow. He climbed up the rope and made his way across the rafters.

Garrett swiftly climb through the window and walked around the room. He examined everything and had to resist the urge to fill his pockets. He was here to see a client. He didn’t need to ruin it by stealing their belongings. As soon as said client came into the room, looking startled since Garrett hadn’t made his presence known, he smirked. “So you’re the one who needs something stolen? You don’t look like the type. What’s the job?”
Reluctant Allies -- Sentence Starters
“As much as I hate your guts, we’ll die here if we don’t work together.”
“Let’s put our differences aside for now. There are bigger issues at hand.”
“Why must I stoop so low as to cooperate with the likes of you?”
“Looks like there’s someone else I hate more than you. Go figure.”
“Alright… I’ll help you, just this once.”
“Let’s get one thing straight here: I don’t like you.”
“This is a one time deal only.”
“Don’t get used to this. It won’t be happening again.”
“I’ll kill you later, when our lives aren’t in danger.”
“Look, we both want the same thing here.“
“Hey, I’m on your side this time!”
“It’s just a matter of overlooking our differences.”
“What do you say?… Truce?”
“Give it a break for once, this is more important!”
“I’ll take the left, you take the right– No arguing.”
“Stop yelling at me! I’m only trying to help!”
“Ugh! I hate having to work with you!”
“I’ll be glad to be rid of you once this is all over.”
“’Hate’ is a strong word… let’s settle for a ‘great disliking of’.”
“I don’t want to do this as much as you do… but we have to.”
“If you want to make it through this, you’re gonna have to trust me!”
“How can I trust you when not only five minutes ago you were trying to kill me?!”
“I can’t take your sass. I’m calling this alliance off prematurely.”
“Please, for once in your life, just listen to me! We’re all in danger!”
“I don’t like you, but this is for the greater good.”
“It’s either us or them, and quite frankly, I could kick your ass any day of the week.”
“As much as I’d hate to admit it, we’d be powerless on our own against them.”
“Just because I’m helping you doesn’t mean we’re friends.”
“Don’t even think about calling me your friend. We’re not. End of story.”
“Just this once, I’ll help… For a price.”
“If I’m going to team up with you, I want something worth while out of it.”
“I can’t wait til this is over… Then we can go back to killing/hating each other.”
“If we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do this right, and I won’t let your petty grudge against me ruin it!”

Garrett slipped silently through the shadows. There were too many people out tonight. Too many for his liking. But the Master Thief was able to keep silent and out of sight. This was what he was best at after all. Garrett reached his destination with no problem. He glanced around before pulling out his small crowbar. He slipped it under the edge of the window and pried it open. He climbed though and softly pushed the window shut behind him. He put out a candle as he walked through the room. From what he could tell, no one was home.
Garrett spotted the painting in the job description and felt along the edges for the switch. The painting slid up the wall, revealing a safe. There you are. He smirked under his mask and pulled out his lockpicks. After a few moments, all the gears clicked into place and he pulled the safe open. Empty. He narrowed his eyes. Basso never said it was empty. In fact he said that the owner hardly ever took anything out of it. Just put things in. Was this a joke? Did the owner somehow get wind of possibility of being robbed and moved his belongings. Unlikely.

“I have my sources. There are always buyers. I’ve been in this kind of business for quiet awhile and I’ve find that there’s an endless amount of nobles looking to pay quite a bit of coin for something pretty to look at.”
Thaddeus’ face crumpled into something akin to displeasure and he gave the other man a quick once-over with his eyes. “Fine.”
“Unless you were looking to buy?”
