I noticed something, in the wiki Batilda's last name is probably spelled wrong as there is no 'u' in the last name. I checked book 5 and there it's 'Lamont' so, no one really noticed it?
I am pretty sure that the book one is the correct one.

I will never understand why devils' scope was the relationship issue in book 5. Jaron had that from all his friends and only his relationship with Imogen got ruined? And Imogen too, if Jaron had it from everyone why did she have to sound like Jaron should have told it to her? And Jaron had been keeping secrets for 4 whole books. Why was she marrying Jaron if she needs all his secrets to do it? Can someone explain it?
I get she wanted him to be honest but when Jaron hid it from everyone she shouldn't have acted like Jaron should have told this to her.
I feel the secret about why Imogen was Conner's servant could have been their relationship issue than the devils' scope as that didn't concern their friends but only Imogen.
I don't like jarogen but I wonder about this even now.
love this book series!!!
Okay so I made this since I am writing birthday fics for all my favorite characters.
Roden do gets gift sometimes and sometimes he forget the birthdays but sometimes he just wants the cake. 🤣(His behavior changes in all my birthday ideas. Depends on whose birthday it is. I guess.)
Yes except his own birthday, Jaron plans surprises for everyone else in my birthday headcanons.
Actually Amarinda is also the type to be at the top but she gives the vibe of always remembering their birthdays and having a gift ready for them type.
Fink plans with Jaron but seriously he can give away the surprise as he talks so much.
Nila is just happy to attend a birthday.
Pirates aren't there in my birthday fic ideas but they would definitely eat and sing on the person's birthday. In a very pirate way though so it's off key as it is supposed to be a birthday plus Jaron did mock Teagut's singing talents in book 4.
The last part can be any other villain but Wilta sounds most appropriate and funny to me.( Reminding that to them.)
More quotes that remind me of Jaron 💙
In Carthya a popularity poll is like this
Jaron : I'm going to win this, no question. After all I'm king. 😎
Roden : What makes you think you're the most popular one here? I'll win this.
Mott: Not this again.
Fink : You're both wrong! Ninette will win this!
Jaron: ...
Roden : ... ??
Roden : Who's Ninette again?
Fink : She is my rat.
Jaron: Why in the name of Carthya, your rat is participating in the Carthyan popularity poll Fink !!?
Happy Birthday to the best king and my book crush Jaron!! 👑
🎂🎁🎊🎉🎈😍💙🎈🎉🎊🎁🎂
Here's a fanart I made of him.
I have been posting my Jaron headcanons and posted the final part of Jaron headcanons (for now probably) today. You can find all of my jaron headcanons under #jaron hcs tag .
Also I posted the first chapter of his birthday fic. Click here for the link. Fic name: Happy Birthday Jaron!!
( I have completed writing the fic. But it became a 2 chapters fic. Chapter 2 is my favorite and I plan to post it tomorrow.)
Just two funny scenes with quotes I thought of-
Here's one scene where Jaron is kidnapped and the kidnappers ask for ransom of one million garlins
Jaron :One million garlins? That's my price? This is insulting. I’m the King of Carthya. And you’re asking for one million garlins?Make it two billion.
Here's another scene where Jaron was kidnapped inspired from that The Big Hit comedy scene when Jaron’s asked to read what's written in the note
Jaron: I have been abduct.
Kidnapper 1: That's abducted.
Jaron: It says abduct.
Kidnapper 2:Just say abducted.
Jaron:I have been abducted. I am fine now, but I may not be for loring. If you do not pay the sun of one million garlands- Seriously. Was this dictated to a goat?Cause honestly, even Roden with no formal education writes better than this. Actually... even Fink writes better now. And that’s entirely Tobias’s doing. So really, congratulations-Your writing is worse than the writing of both Roden and Fink .
Kidnapper 2: "Loring"? "Sun of one million garlands"?
Jaron:That's what it says.
Kidnapper3: That's "long" and the "sum" of one million "garlins". You know what it means.Just read what it means.
Jaron: I may not be for long. If you do not pay the sum of one million garlins. Or else you will never see me alive again as these men mean businesses.
( Jaron laughs): Who wrote this, really?
Kidnapper 2:Stop it!!
Jaron: You told me to read this. That's what I'm doing.
The kidnappers start fighting arguing with the one who wrote that note.
Kidnapper 1: Improvise the last line.
Jaron: Fine then- These group of ridiculously demanding, bug-brained, impressively incompetent, utterly illiterate , barnyard-scented men mean business.
Carthya
So based on author's description, I just tried to do the flags of the countries of TAS world.
So this was author's description of Carthya's flag: The Carthyan flag has three gold stripes across the upper third. In the center of the flag is the king coat of arms. The Carthyan crest is in the shape of a blue shield with a gold stripe running horizontally to divide the upper third. The right side of the stripe bears an image of the king’s ring, and the left has a knot. The uppermost of the crest is held by a falcon, The bottom third has a griffin bearing a laurel around its neck. A bottom banner lists the words "Egolath & Corodir", meaning Duty and Honor.
So I think Carthyan flag looks like this perhaps based on the description.
And Bymar's flag's description was: Bymar's colors are blue and white. The flag is divided into four squares, blue and white on the top and white and blue on the bottom.
So Bymar's Flag
And Mendenwal's flag was said to be like this: The colors of Mendenwal are yellow and white. Mendenwal's flag is white with three yellow stars in row in the center.
Probably Mendenwal's flag is like this
And Gelyn's flag was said to be like this: Gelyn's colors are yellow and green, the flag of Gelyn is yellow with a green rectangle in the upper right corner.
Gelyn's Flag could be like this
And Avenia's flag description was like this: Avenia's flag is entirely red with the black emblem of the pirates at the center, to acknowledge them. And we know pirate symbol is an X with a sea serpent angled northeast and snake angled to north west. ( I couldn't do that very well but it is mostly like this. I don't know if it's correct. I took direction of the heads)
Business Casual (Jaron ver.)
Wanted to do a review like below of the ascendance series so here's one below, taking (book 1-3) into account mostly as book 4-5 weren't good
Best character: Jaron
Most developed character: Roden
Most hated character: Vargan
Best friend character: Tobias
Best friendship: Jaron and Tobias (Jaron and Roden is close too but this is just the first three books and I think Jaron and Tobias had more page time as friends than Jaron and Roden)
Funniest scene: All the times Jaron sassily insults the villains
Best trio: Jaron, Roden and Tobias
Best younger character: Fink
Best side character: Harlowe
Most underrated character: Errol
Most overrated character: Imogen (sorry I think she got importance in narrative because of just being love interest when she really doesn't have much importance story or plot wise especially when you see book 1 or book 3)
Best character dynamic: Mott & Jaron
Worst scenes: Jaron and Imogen dungeon chapter where they you know... makes it look weird when romance was the last thought in mind then though there is the rescue scene of book 3 where again romantic things or thoughts happen at weird times but still it wasn't much annoying.
Also maybe the book 2 scene of Imogen deciding to stay in Libeth as the whole conversation wasn't really as emotional as it was trying to be and romance came out of nowhere there and somewhat felt like there was more over-acting.
Best villain: Hard to choose but still it's Conner in book 1. (Vargan is close but his keeping Imogen alive never made sense to me when he had other baits and was told to be heartless.)
Best female character: Amarinda (There aren't many female characters in this series who get much importance and it's sad there isn't, so I need to go with Amarinda as I don't like Imogen and there are like only two FMCs here. )
Saddest scene: Mott almost dying in book 3 or the backstory telling us that Sage is Jaron. (I mean Eckbert and Jaron last talk scene)
Best scenes: The climax scenes of each 3 books (Jaron’s coronation scene in book 1, Jaron & Roden fight scene in book 2 and the ending battle in Farthenwood in book 3)
Best romance: Tobias and Amarinda
Best quote: "You were wrong, commander. Whatever chains you try to place on me, I will always, always, rise from them. I'm not buying my freedom, because you never owned it. But I am taking it back, for me, and for my country."
Unpopular opinion: if it's not in character for the characters in a ship before the ship was confirmed the characters making out often in front of their friends or doing pda can just make me hate a ship too.
Jaron being afraid of Imogen getting angry will never be my headcanon. I don't find her scary guys that's all. And it feels OOC for him.
Also in context to the previous post, most people thinks jaron being scared of imogen? i don't think jaron is scared of anyone and unlike other male characters i feel like he is scared of girls in that way as many typical male love interests I hardly think jaron is scared of girls unless they can fight maybe. (then it's logical to be scared)
I feel like it is to make it similar to how husbands are scared of their wives (which I do love on many scenarios except here) maybe it's because of them running the house actually in society but imogen doesn't run the castle or cooks for people. not anymore as she is noble and not the ruler.
Jaron and his other friends are there to run the castle and there are servants to cook and look after the castle so that kind of domestic life analogy doesn't make sense or work here.
Also Imogen isn't intimidating like other female characters are like when this happens. I would say Amarinda is a whole lot intimidating for her status and power and personality. She made Conner uncomfortable during the dinner in book 1.
Also Imogen cannot fight with weapons except using a knife only once that any normal person can do too. She isn't like those gilboss fighters why should jaron be scared of her? He isn't even scared of wilta guys. And she is way more intimidating than Imogen.
Okay maybe it is him fearing her abandoning her considering her behavior in books 4-5 but let's not exaggerate this fear and make it comical. But why doesn't he get scared when anyone else gets angry with him? So i think it is just a joke that I don't find funny.
I also find male characters being scared of their partners funny especially when the female characters are protagonist or intimidating or I don't like male character much then. But do we really need every male character be scared of their love interests? I don't think it works for jarogen at least it doesn't make sense to me as Jaron is king and Imogen is a normal simple girl and no princess or fighter.
Why should he be afraid of her like she is his mother? By the way I don't think Jaron was afraid of his mother books says often she wasn't angry with Jaron like his father and was unserious.
In fact I find some characters (like maybe tobias) being scared of Jaron more comical so why don't we think of that?
I just discovered that the best way to read your favorite series with a main ship you don't like is to think it doesn’t exist and skip it .
*Warning* don't read if you like Imogen
These are just memes so don't take it seriously but I felt like using the templates when I found them
