hearing some people say team nick this team sel that... babe did we not read the same book how did you miss the point
i don't think i'm attracted to men but some books just make me violently bisexual a
Selwyn Kane CAN NOT become mainstream! Do you know what they would do to him!?
i want you guys to listen very carefully.
Bree.
Sel’s reunion with Bree and Nick in Oathbound actually made me super anxious. Tracy should consider horror for her next writing venture.
i love reading about bree becoming more and more powerful. i'm only halfway through and it's beyond my comprehension how some read this book and consider it is a filler or unnecessary. i think having reread bloodmarked right before starting book 3 makes me appreciate bree's development even more. i love seeing her become more confident and in control of her powers after how she kept feeling guilty and wasn't able to control her abilities in book 2.
can we take a moment to appreciate how tracy ate with every name like yeah that's Legendborn. it feels so Legendborn. like omg the vibes are Legendborn this name is so fitting. Bloodmarked. totally. could never find another name like Bloodmarked if i went to find it under an aether lamp in my hand like. Oathbound. truly the perfect name like yes this book deserves to be named Oathbound.
not even just the books like the characters. Briana. the clever 'bree/bri' wordplay too. you hear Selwyn and you're like oof. yes. totally fitting. Nicholas. look how the name flows like do you see it. William. the vibes. Alice. alice in wonderland my love. alice/alive wordplay. Sarah. Mariah. Greer. Valechaz. Elijah. Zoelle. Felicity. Russ. even Victoria as much as we should hate her and Cestra.
like the names man the fucking names i love it so much.

i just need to sit and reread the entire legendborn cycle again
GUYS LOOK AT THESE ENDPAPERS
BREE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS AND JAW DROPPINGLY BEAUTIFUL. but her eyes are closed in one of them. I really hope that doesn’t mean arthur has taken over again or something 😭. it’s probably her blood walking though, maybe sel isn’t possessed by his demon self back there
NICKS EYES AND SELS FANGS!!
THEY COVERED THE EYES OF WHOEVER BREE WAS KISSING.
hands using aether reaching out for something and THE DRAGON
food 🙌
these endpapers are honestly stunning. i really love the nature imagery with the tree branches coming off of bree and onto everyone else
also the book is surrounded by red, purple and GOLD smoke. the red is for rootcraft, purple for the combination if aether and rootcraft, then what is the gold for?
If there's one thing you should know about Selwyn Kane it's that he KNOWS how to make a dramatic entrance
Bree Matthews is still a teenage girl. She is young and she is naïve and thrown into a world with rules and history she doesn’t know and just coming into powers she barely understands. She has all of this thrown on her while she is in the middle of dealing with her grief and guilt over the loss of her mother. Of course she is going to make mistakes. Of course she might say and do things that she probably shouldn’t. But that makes her realistic and gives her so much room to grow, which she does. And that’s what makes her a complex and interesting character. If she was perfect all the time, it wouldn’t work, and I for one love watching her come into her powers, learn from her mistakes, and develop into her full potential.
so nick has a piece of sel's power in his heart? cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool
i just finished oathbound and i am crashing the fuck out but my fav part has gotta be the fact that bree lost her loved ones (physically + in her memories) but still managed to find community and purpose... thats so resilient of her i am in awe
also what did erebus think he was saying when he was like ur friends will think u forgot them. like dude she can just say what happened lmao? and she did? and it worked? for a manipulator some of your manipulations arent that solid
Some of y’all are mad Sel wasn’t very present in OathBound like he was in BloodMarked because you don’t believe that this is Bree’s story. You just have to focus on the white secondary character or else your experience reading the book is ruined as so many of you have openly stated. You then proceed to villainize Nick and make up the dumbest things regarding him because you have no critical thinking skills and, once again, you just have to focus on anybody else but Bree. The Black girl Scion of Arthur who is the exact, and only, reason why LegendBorn exists. There would quite literally not be a story without her. Y’all need to get it together or leave this series alone.
