[[ you take such great screens of my darling boy omg ]]
Some drawings of Mardig I forgot to post. He looks so anime when I draw him but I’m actually kind of pleased with how these came out, since they stemmed from me having to practice drawing his horns. I still need practice drawing them.
[[ I drew these ages ago holy shit... but yeah gonna put these on his blog ]]

Mardig’s tail twitched at the man’s voice. Given he was the only au ra in the vicinity, it was clear the newcomer meant him. He looked up from where he was seated, eyebrow raised as the man approached him. His garb was unfamiliar, and adorned with a crest he’d never seen before. But his bearing, the way he moved, how he held himself… it bespoke of a fellow warrior. One who had seen quite a few battles in his own right.
“Yes?”
A hand had raised up to rub the sides of his forehead as he closed his eyes, brows furrowing down. Though, once the man- well, if the other was a man, in the sense of.. human- considering his odd features, Trevor gazed over once again.
“Hmm… Can you answer a few questions?”
He sure was trying his best to not end up staring too much at the other’s scales and horns- did he end up somewhere where everyone was some kind of monster or what?
“I don’t see why not. You seem confused and in need of some answers with that face you’re making.”
Mardig raised a brow at the man, who was obviously trying not to stare too pointedly at his scales... and failing. Resting his elbows on the table, the au ra gestured casually to the open chair across from him.
“Here, sit. There is food on the way.”
@steelandscales
Well, that was something he surely didn’t expect to see out and about. First it was almost everyone had either pointed ears or cat ears and a tail. But.. Now horns, scales and a tail on top of that? That raised questions to him. A lot of them. Though that didn’t mean they’d get any answers- seeing this was no where near Wallachia. A groan left the man before he shook his head. All he remembered from before he ended here was that he fell down a hole.
He still had yet to find how to go back.
“Oi! Er, you. You with the scales-!”
He called out- probably sounding quite rude by his tone but at this point, Trevor probably didn’t care much.

steelandscales:
“If it will unburden you to vent it, then speak and I’ll listen. I’m all horns… er, ears. I’m all ears.”
Despite the fact he was getting better at correcting himself, these eorzean idioms still tongue-tied him sometimes.
Ah, so his friend still struggled a bit with those? A snort left the paladin instead of a laugh, followed by a grin replacing that frown of his. He did’t mean to laugh at the other, but he couldn’t help himself at this point.
“Well, your horns work like ears so you weren’t wrong the first time, bud.”
His words were followed by a small laughter.
“But it’s just the usual- me bein’ tired or everythin’, nothin’ worth really rantin’ over.”
“Still, I hoped to have better grasp of your language by now. Seems I still need practice for some kinds of phrases.” The auri man pouted for a moment, but regained his usual stoic composure quickly enough. “Of course, I have you to thank for much of my eorzean, broken as it might be sometimes.” He smiled in remembrance. He hadn’t spoken a word of the language when he first came to the land, but luckily his friend had been patient.
“Ah, well if it helps, I’m here to listen to your worries. Its the least I can do for a friend.” He nodded, tail swaying behind him in affirmation. “...Perhaps you could use a distraction?
steelandscales:
“I was wondering what the sour look on your face was about, friend. Need to talk?”
“Eh, ‘m just complainin’, ‘s all. Unless you want to hear said complainin’, I wouldn’t bother you with it.”
“If it will unburden you to vent it, then speak and I’ll listen. I’m all horns… er, ears. I’m all ears.”
Despite the fact he was getting better at correcting himself, these eorzean idioms still tongue-tied him sometimes.
“And exactly why is nothing enjoyable lately? Actually, don’t answer that one.”
“I was wondering what the sour look on your face was about, friend. Need to talk?”
