“You already know how well I am not on good terms with other gods of Takamagahara.” He paused, tilting his head back as he gazed up to Ren’s dragon- who simply had decided to lean its head on top of his. “Or at least, most of them. And I am well aware that they are not happy with me, either.” He added after a moment, a hand reaching up to stroke the pink dragon’s mane.
“They can try to hide it, but I see everything.” Susabi lowered his head, his expression turning somewhat dark. He knew that they didn’t enjoy the fact that not only was he more powerful than some would have imagined but the mere fact that he was doing what he pleased surely did not sit well up there.
“I am only afraid that they will go for you, instead of me.” Eyes were closed and he crossed his arms over his chest, looking pensive. “My friendship with you surely hasn’t gone unnoticed to them, so please. Be cautious.”

★ Being not really fond of humans after what they did to him, it takes a while for him to actually consider giving one a chance– unless, of course, they prove themselves to him. However, the criteria for that depends from person to person– mostly based on if they are a commoner or an Onmyoji.
★ Physical contact is out the question unless he’s grown fond of the person. But a stranger is bound to be glared at before they even dare lay a finger on him. Or simply grabbed by Susabi’s dragon.
★ If you do manage to earn his trust, then consider yourself one of the very few people that he will step him to keep safe, if the situation gets to be too much. He may have his duties to do but if he has to, he won’t hesitate.
★ It doesn’t happen often but if his hair winds up wet from rain or being fresh out the shower/bath, there’s chances of seeing small stars sparkle. Though it doesn’t last for very long and it’s very easy to miss unless you’re paying attention to it.
★ He always has his choker on. Always. He only takes it off when showering/bathing but even then he sometimes leaves it on (though that’s mostly due to the fact he probably forgot to. It happens).
★ Don’t be fooled by his hair, it may look nice when he’s out and about but in the morning, it’s an absolute mess.
★ Though if you are a friend, he might let you brush his hair.. if you ask, of course.
★ Being quite tall, Susabi often has to look down to people. However, if they are super short (and aren’t being a pain in the ass), he’s willing to sit down to be more of their level if he’s talking to them.
★ He’s prone to sometimes sit in one place for hours during the day. He calls that meditation but clearly he’s having a power nap..
★ Due to having lived in a village near the sea back when he was human, Susabi still retains some fondness for seafood. Though, he does try to not really let it show much..
★ Some of the scarring from the abuse he received back then also still is visible on his body- however, very faintly.
★ Susabi doesn’t express himself much- though those who are close to him can know when his mood does change. It’s a very subtle change that can be easily missed by those that do not pay attention or don’t tend to spend time around the shikigami- and it does take some time for even people that he’s befriended to get used to noticing it, too.
However, if you do succeed at putting him into a good mood, that’s one rare achievement to be proud of.
★ Ever since having been ‘awoken’, the dragon that he received upon discovering new powers has been tagging along no matter what- be it Susabi wearing his default clothing, his awoken ones or his unrivaled champion ones. It usually hangs about on the largest of the ornaments that can be seen floating around and behind the Shikigami. Though this dragon does have a mind of its own- and if you end up friends with its master, it might come over and asks for pets and food- even if Susabi tells it so many times to not do so.
But food and attention always win despite all of the man’s efforts to keep it from doing so. At least it isn’t with strangers.
★ Despite being able to use his powers to easily walk over any big bodies of water (if he has to), Susabi prefers to stay away from them- as far as possible. It’s a habit that has an hard time dying out, mostly due to having been drowned in his past life. However, if someone was to push him into one out of the sudden, they will have to deal with a very angry (and internally slightly terrified) Shikigami.
He is trying to work on getting over it but let’s just say it’s complicated.
★ Susabi is mostly on the quiet side, only talking if he has to- if he doesn’t, he will remain silent. However, this changes when he’s in company of someone he cares for and instead will respond to them instead of giving them the silent treatment. Though, he tends to not let much emotions show through on his face and through his body language as well as stays a bit away from others– the latter having been caused due to his trust into others being betrayed in his past life.
However, he can and will eventually warm up to people- it will just take a while.
