You're mean!Â
17 weeks pregnant, and Amy and I are happy to announced it's a girl!Â
Look At That || Stephelia
"I know, I know."  Amelia rolls her eyes, grinning as Steph kisses her.  She’s fixated on the ultrasound watching as they get to see their baby together.  Amelia’s more overcome with emotion than she thought she’d be and knowing that their baby is okay, that they’re going to be okay is a lot to take in.  She feels herself welling up, and turns away briefly to wipe her eyes.  She hates the idea of crying in front of the both of them.  As she turns back she hears the word girl, "Oh wow."
Stephanie turns to grin up at Amelia again, and notices she's turned away, and she smiles, pulling her closer, as though it's possible. "It's our daughter," Stephanie says, eyes welling up with tears. "It's a girl, I was right! Oh my gosh," She says, leaning up to kiss Amelia. Lucy smiles, "Congratulations." Steph is overcome with joy, she would have been either way, but knowing what it is now just makes it all more real, they're having a daughter. Their little girl. "Our little girl," Steps says through her tears.Â
Lunch Date || Lexie & Stephanie
"Oh, believe me, I totally know what you’re talking about. As I was pregnant with those adorable munchkins, my every day wish was simply to give birth already. I mean, I enjoyed the pregnancy and the feeling of being responsible for the babies, and putting new human lives into the world.. but on the other hand I don’t think I had the glow. Those hormone swings and mood changes, the heat and cold all the time, the urge to pee, the backache, the feeling like a whale.. Everything has a negative side." Lexie smirks, shruggling slightly. "But of course the main reason was that I finally wanted to hold them." The brunette steps into the cold weather of Seattle, utterly thankful for the fact that it’s not raining, or more accurate, snowing. "Yes. Ella or Ellie, everything works actually."
Stephanie grins, it being nice to know someone understands. She was an OB, of course, but talking to someone personally about this was nice. Steph wasn't used to having friends or family to talk to. "Everyone's got the glow," Steph says. "I've seen my fair share of pregnant woman, so trust me, they all get the glow. Amy seems to be enjoying the pregnancy thanks to the hormones that make me want her all the time," Steph laughs, "But I had the mood swings. They really suck, it's like one minute I'm fine and the next I'm angry, the next I'm sobbing." She smiles down at Ella, nodding. "Sounds good. I know Sofia loves talking about them," Steph tells her, "I've babysat and hung out with Arizona, and she loves Sebastian and Tabby, and I kept hearing about Ella and Nate, so it's nice to finally meet them." Â

Amelia rolled her eyes, “That’s all boring crap…”  She trailed off.  ”Now that’s what I’m talking about.”  She laughed playfully, giving Steph a cheeky grin, especially as the OB picked up on how damn flirtatious Steph was being.  Amy liked it though, it was like she’d picked up on Amelia’s lack of filter, because that was definitely shining through.  She really enjoyed it though, it was fun to play with.  Amelia watched the monitor as the OB began to show them their baby.  As she spoke about the brain, Amelia felt herself biting her lip and squeezing Steph’s hand tightly.  The babies brain was okay, he or she wasn’t going to be like her baby had been.  It was okay.  ”Our baby.”
Steph tilts her head, giving her a look. "My undying love and our baby are not boring crap." She laughs as Amelia grins, and she unburies her face to kiss her. This ease felt good, it was something she'd never experienced before, and she liked it. The sight of the baby on the screen makes her so happy, and she sneaks a glance at Amelia as she squeezes her hand, smiling. "Our baby," She repeats. "Your baby...girl," Lucy grins, as she gets a clear picture, moving the doppler around.Â

Amelia laughs at the image of both of them pregnant and trying to have sex, it was already going to be difficult enough working it all out with Steph being pregnant. She was finding she couldn’t quite reach her arms around her girlfriend when she hugged her, but Amy was trying to refrain from calling her a whale or fat, because she just knew it’d piss her off. “What do I get in return?” She frowned. Amelia looks to Steph as the OB asks about whether they wanted to know the sex, and she shrugs, “Up to you, I don’t mind either way.”
"My undying love and devotion, and our baby," Steph retorts, leaning up to kiss her. "And maybe a little somethin' else," She winks. "Wow, your hormones really are on overdrive," Lucy teases, and Steph flushes, hiding her face against Amelia, shrugging. "Blame the baby!" She exclaims. "And yes! Of course I want to know! I wanted to know weeks ago!" She says as she lays back, lifting the gown up so Lucy can squeeze the gel onto her stomach. "Alright," Lucy says, pointing. "There's the baby's head, everything looks good. The brain is developing right on track," She says. "And a hand," She smiles, and Steph grins. "Look, baby, it's so tiny," She says, tearing up. "That's our baby."Â

"No way."  She remarks, rolling her eyes at Steph, grinning and giving her hand a gentle squeeze.  "Mm."  Amelia looks like she’s thinking for a moment.  "It has worked out pretty good for me, and luckily I’ve not gotten pregnant from that - can you imagine both of us hormonal at the same time?"  She shakes her head.  Amelia turns back to the OB, listening and pleased as she hears the good news.  "I’ll help you stay less stressed."
Allie smiles triumphantly, "Exactly." She lets out a laugh, her head resting against her girlfriend as she puts that image in her head. "No, we'd probably wind up killing eac hother, let's be real here. Plus if we were both growing, the sex may get difficult," She says, surprised by herself that she's talking about this, the sex, in front of Lucy. "Mmm, I know. You can give me back rubs," She grins. The exam goes on, everything looking good, before they finally get to the ultrasound. "So you know I may not be able to, but if I can, do you wanna know the sex?" Lucy asks as she squeezes the cold blue gel onto her stomach.Â
Lunch Date || Lexie & Stephanie
A smile creeps over her face as she notices the subconscious gesture of her cousin, Stephanie probably doesn’t even notice it anymore and the brunette herself knows that feeling all too well. “Yeah, two weeks more and they’re turning one. I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I’ve got those cute munchkins to take care of, and they still amaze me on a daily basis.” The compliment of looking alike Lexie agrees with an amused nodding. It’s true, they really come after her. They both got her brown eyes, and Ella has her hair. Yet Nate’s hair turns out to be blond like his dad’s, and Mark claims that his son has the typical Sloan nose. “Of course you can. Today you get Elizabeth, Nate is too whiny these days, I think he’s teething. But that’s only an excuse to meet again.” She stretches her arm a little, handing her daughter over to Stephanie.
Steph smiles, nodding. "I can't tell you how many times I've heard that. I suppose I'll understand it, soon, time flying by. Right now it feels so slow," She admits. "I kind of just want to have the baby already, and I'm only 16 weeks." Stephanie smiles, happily reaching out and taking Elizabeth in her arms, settling her on her hip. "Hi there pretty girl," She coos, holding her tiny hand. "I'm Stephanie," She grins as the little girl looks up at her, her dark eyes lit up. "You call her Ella, right?" Steph asks as she opens the door for Lexie to go through first, so they can go across the street to the cafe.Â

"Knowing her, you’re going to have a tough job of doing that."  Amelia teased with a grin.  "She’s a little bossy more than some of the time."  She gave Steph a look, raising her eyebrows.  She pouts stepping back as Steph swats her butt.  "Oi."  She replied.  "I’m just saying that the kid sucks up your blood, makes you tired and makes you a crazy person a lot of the time."
"You guys are mean," Steph pouts, though she winks at Amelia as she playfully hits her, pulling her back. "Yea well, the kid has also made me sex crazed, which has worked out in your favor, has it not?" She points out as Lucy looks entertained by their banter, Steph thinking about how she wouldn't mind finding an on call room after this appointment. "Your BP is good, right where it should be. Make sure you keep your stress levels down and stay calm."Â
Look At That || Stephelia
"If you want."  Amelia shrugged and rolled her eyes at her.  She turned her attention to the OB, giving her a grin and shaking her hand.  "Hey, don’t enjoy yourself too much with my girlfriends vagina."  She teased gently.  "She’s got that last part right."  Amelia gave Steph’s hand a gentle squeeze.  "Steph doesn’t take too kindly to the baby being called demon spawn."
Lucy laughs, shaking her head, "Don't worry about that, I just plan on delivering the baby. If she will even let me." Stephanie shrugged, laughing. "I wish I could do it myself, wait till you have one and then you'll understand. As an OB, it'll just be weird," She says. Giving Amy a look, she playfully swats at her butt saying, "I can't imagine why!" Lucy smiles, wrapping the blood pressure cuff around her upper arm, beginning to measure.Â
Lunch Date || Lexie & Stephanie
"I don’t want to hear it, Meyer." The brunette interrupts her intern impatiently. She’s already too late, her cousin probably sits down in the lobby waiting for her for a while already, but that young woman simply doesn’t want to shut up about the fact that she doesn’t see why she’s not the one to do the first solo surgery. "Eh. One word more and you’ll be examinating feces for a month." Her hand is raised and the honesty in her voice is what makes the little blonde to actually shut her mouth. A sigh of relief leaves Lexie’s lips as she eventually closes the door behind herself, steps into the lockers and changes into her casual clothes. Only a few minutes later she walks through the foyer, one child on each arm, looking out for the newest member of her family. "Stephanie, hey! Sorry, that perky and jealous intern didn’t let me go.."
Stephanie is texting Amelia when she hears her name, and she grins, sending the message and sliding her phone into her bag. "Hey!" She says, smiling at the sight of the babies in Lexie's arms. "No problem, I know what that's like," She says honestly, leaning in to take the little girl's hand, smiling. "Hi sweetie! Oh, you're just so adorable! And you are so handsome!" She says, turning to the little boy. "I can hold one, if you want!" she offers eagerly. "You said they're almost a year? They look so much like you," Steph comments, smiling, a hand rubbing absently over her belly.Â
6 weeks of maternity leave is up.
Yep! It’ll be nice to have a new OB on the squad.
I've been on the squad for a while now, dear.Â
It’s tiny for how big it’ll get later! I like it, it looks nice. You’re cute with a baby belly. Her? Have you already found out the gender?
Thanks Ari. Thanks. [pouts, then smiles a little] Thanks. No, not yet, I just have a feeling.Â
Look At That || Stephelia
"Your opinion is wrong."  She shook her head.  "Uh…I don’t know, do I have to have an opinion on names?  So long as we don’t name the kid something weird, I’m good with it."  As the OB returns Amelia moves closer to the table, holding Steph’s hand, excited to see her baby…no their baby.  She was a part of this too as surprising as that was, but she’d grown up and Steph had accepted her for who she was and that meant a hell of a lot.
"That means I get free reign on names, then?" Steph asks with a smirk. "Hmmm...good to know." Steph smiles, waving at the doctor. She was a fellow like herself. "Lucy, this is my girlfriend and the other baby mama, Amelia. Amy, this is Lucy Jackson, she's the OB, since I cant deliver the kid myself," She says, Lucy laughing as she shakes Amelia's hand. "Don't worry, Steph, I'll listen to whatever you say," She assures her. "How have you been feeling?" Steph shrugs. "Eh, fine. The puking stopped, now I just want to eat, have sex, and sleep. I also cry a lot...I'm very hormonal."Â
What?! Â
Our baby is not a demon spawn!Â

Amelia rolls her eyes and leans to place her lips against Steph’s forehead.  ”Shut up.  Your genes gave you that smoking hot body, so you can’t say anything.”  She gave her a look raising her eyebrows.  ”We don’t have to do that.”  Amelia replied.  ”Uh, I don’t know, we could hyphenate it…I don’t know.  Weddings are weird though you know.”
Steph smiles as Amy kisses her forehead, shrugging. "I'm entitled to my opinion. It could be cute, though! Something Amelia Mercer-Shepherd. I've always like Sophia, but that's Arizona's daughter's name. What do you think?" She tilts her head to the side, shrugging. "Maybe their weird, but it could be nice, someday." There's a knock on the door a moment later, and Dr. Jackson smiles, waving.Â
You look lovely! Little tiny baby belly. c: I can’t wait to meet the munchkin inside of it.
It's not tiny, but thank you! Join the club! I want to meet her so badly.Â
