Does anyone have an interpretation about what Ever Since New York is about? I don’t care who it’s about.
it's about 9/11
One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.

Gods In Heat - Tobacco
Black Moth Super Rainbow frontman Tobacco recently shared ‘Gods in Heat’, the lead single from his upcoming new album ‘Sweatbox Dynasty’. A warm and murky sonic fugue, ‘Gods in Heat’ is equal parts gritty psychedelic pop cleverly layered with marshmallowy vocals, all iced with a thick sprinkle of vinyl static - and that’s just what you taste on the first play. Stereogum called it “what could happen if a really clever producer wanted to channel Daft Punk and the Black Keys at the same time”, while one SoundCloud user described it as "like God speaking to me from inside a dishwasher while rubbing sandpaper together”. The weirdest part is I kinda think both are on the money.
‘Sweatbox Dynasty’ is out on 19 August.
