Kira gave him a sympathetic frown. "That's rare, Your Highness."

Stiles didn't respond. He'd had many suitors, but none that he connected with. None that he could see at his side for the rest of his life.

He spun back around as the pair continued down the corridor toward his father's chambers. The long, gold, and red hallway seemed too short as Stiles dreaded the interaction. His being absent during the Hale's arrival wasn't likely to go unpunished.
