A little reflection

Frankly, I am very content with how my project is going at the moment. I think all the doubts (most of them) have passed for now and I am ready to really make and create the body extension. I received a lot of positive and fascinated comments from my classmates and some really nice and interesting feedback. I am very happy that I decided to make this soul extension as big as it is, instead of making a scaled down version. I think it adds so much more when in the end people can really experience it! I am looking forward to this last week of finishing my body extension! I am very curious of how it will turn out, but either way, I loved and enjoyed the new and interesting process so far!

User testing day! As my body extension is only a construction at this point I could only test the positions in which a person interacts with my body extension. I let them choose a position in which they felt most comfortable with the object. 09-04-18

My body extension is a paradox in itself; a physical and material expression of the non physical / non material world. Using senses to translate something which we cannot sens with our 5 human senses. Therefore my body extension is an ATTEMPT to translate and capture this untouchable world and give people the experience of the soul that may exist in the noumenal world.

The soul exists in the noumenal world. The noumenal world may exist, but is completely unknowable through human sensation. Therefore it cannot be visualized, or may not be made physical.

My body extension will be a universal, not a personal, translation of the soul. It will block your "real world" for a while and replaces it with the soul world. It will be a soul experience. People need to be aware of this existence.
