The garden in my backyard is finally in place. My roommate John and I planted all the seeds on Sunday and partitioned it off for ease of planting and identification.
We managed to put in 23 different kinds of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Let the second growing season begin! Updates to follow as things progress.
Attempted panorama shot of the Stone Arch Bridge last Saturday morning.
There are participants of the Heartbeat 5000 charity race on the bridge.
A family camping excursion with my one niece, Heather and two nephews, Gage and Alex. We went down to the actual Lost Falls waterfall.
Pretty great to spend quality time with you all!
Sorry about not having the video working properly. A little motivation goes a long way. Cheers!
Hanging out at the Twins game with my roommate John. They are playing the Toronto Blue Jays and already have two on with nobody out in the top of the first.
Could be a long night...
Here is a link to my race results for the Cannon Falls Duathlon that was held on April 28, 2012. The course consisted of a two mile run, fourteen mile bicycle ride and a final three mile run. Temperatures hovered around the balmy range of 40-45°. Wind and rain persisted throughout, making the event an extra challenge for all. Overall, it was a fantastic event that I plan to attend again in 2013. Got to improve on this year's results. Plus, it would be fantastic to do the cycling portion with more than a single speed Schwinn bicycle. P.S. I will try to update again with race photos.
The video is about Caine's Arcade, small yet inspiring cardboard arcade created in East L.A. Film by Nirvan Mullick.
OMG!!! It's my Brewers baseball bobblehead collection. It's pretty dope so you should check it out.
Can you identify which ones are there? Good luck!
P.S. My gratitude goes to a friend, Charity Tuma, for gifting them to me.
93 year old newscaster Mike Wallace passed away on Saturday. This is simply a shout out to a memorable person and impactful CBS News correspondent.
Ninety-three year old Rachel Veitch decides to retire her car after 48 years and 567,000 miles. Thanks NPR!
Here is a cool link via Boing Boing and other sites which showcases the art of very localized woodcut maps.
This is a online documentary called "We Are All Radioactive". A film crew goes to the region and films the every day lives of the residents from the Japan tsunami area.
From their website:
We Are All Radioactive is an online crowdfunded episodic documentary about a group of surfers rallying to rebuild Japan after the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
Check it out and enjoy!
This looks mischievous. This is the before photo of my haircut.
Thank you Nina at Shear Trends hair salon for hooking me up with the fantastic new style!
This is the after shot! Woot! A fauxhawk!
Pretty badass in my opinion. I even have one that runs down the back of my head too!
$a-weet!!
In an experiment in New York City, the filmmaker Casey Neistat locks up his own bike and tries to steal it, wondering if onlookers would intervene.
This is the set list from the Radiohead concert in Kansas City, Missouri on March 11, 2012.
It was my first Radiohead concert and I do say the set list was quite amazing. Such a wonderful evening!
More coming from the evening in future posts!
Update: Here's a link to a review of the concert last night. An epic bucket list event.

84 degree day in Minneapolis! Think our thermometer is a bit off, but still a glorious day. Woot!
