hey staff why did all the adult artists get banned but I’m still surrounded by pornbots and terrible harem fantasy game ads with crying abused women in them, I know the answer is MONEY I just really wanted to bring it up and acknowledge how fucked that is
what do people in their twentys do except go to the grocery store……….
sometimes we lie in bed paralyzed by the knowledge that life is neither meaningful nor enjoyable
and then we go get snacks
what she says: i’m fine
what she means: captain america has been a huge part of my life and chris evans’s portrayal of one of my favourite characters got me through dark times and introduced me to a same but different incarnation of this character that i love. chris evans has played this character with such dignity and grace and has shown time and again that he understands the core of who steve rogers is; and despite his anxieties about taking it on, he’s grown so much in his time with steve rogers and has come to do his best to exemplify steve’s values on and off-screen. marvel is huge on legacy characters and of course the next captain america will be his own actor & character & person, but chris evans is steve rogers, and the last few years have been such a great & wonderful journey with him.
Some facts:
1) Black Americans created jazz. 2) Jewish Americans created comic books. 3) These things are said to be the only original American art forms.
4) black Americans invented rock and roll.
5) Black AND Jewish Americans created musical theatre.
that time the “stupidest thing” patrick’s ever done at a festival was when he was trying to help brendon
this is the only valid twitter thread

neville and various da members using the sonorus spell that makes their voice louder to shout over whatever bullshit snape was trying to tell people every day in the great hall in seventh year
I LOVE THAT THEY KEEP PICKING UP MORE OMG
Man, The Spiderverse movie looks rough as hell.
can you imagine being at this con dressed as spiderman and this caravan passes by and you’re like “…I gotta go” and leave your friends in the dust
Some of you haven’t stayed up reading until 4 am because you literally couldn’t put down your book until it was finished even though you needed to be up early the next day and it shows
I’m just going to leave this here…
im on mobile, can someone make one that adds “jews”
Done
Cowards won’t reblog this version.
Juvi is child abuse, they use legitimate torture tactics at every juvi I’ve ever been to such as:
endlessly keeping florescent lights on the children while they sleep
blasting loud music all night while they sleep
only allowing them 5 hours to sleep
taking away bed padding if they sleep over five hours thus forcing them to sleep on hard concrete
Watching them go to the bathroom
I mean I can fucking go on but we are literally torturing children in juvenile detention centers …
and you know what most of these children are tortured for? Marijuana possession.
I’m disgusted.
And then COs and prison staff act like their poor behaviour and lack of emotional control is because of their criminality rather than living conditions. When the kids get mad, get into fights, cant handle conflict, it’s used as a justification to keep them incarcerated longer.
Think about if you were to only get 5 hours of very interrupted sleep a night, your body hurts because you were forced to sleep on the floor, and you are getting shit food all while adults constantly treat you as subhuman. I would absolutely lash out if this was my life, and I’m a grown adult with a fully developed prefrontal cortex and years of experience with emotional regulation. No child can handle this and be calm, no teenager can handle this and be calm.
They are set up to fail and then told it’s their biology/mental illness/criminality. It’s disgusting.
This is something we talked about in my U.S. Criminal Justice class. Children do not have the same rights as adults and both women and children are treated worse than adult males.
people think because it’s children their prison conditions aren’t as bad as adult prison conditions and I can say comparably … juvenile detention centers are worse than adult women’s prisons in the usa.
And adult women’s prisons are horrific. People in them being forced to only use one pad for their entire period? I mean.. they don’t treat people in these places as human they don’t view them as human
And a child has little to no legal action they can take when their rights are being abused, hell they may not even KNOW when their rights are being violated.
and adults aren’t spending a lot of time in juvenile detention centers so they don’t fucking know how horrible it is.
They don’t know that literal military torture tactics are being used on children because they smoked a blunt once.
Thanks sm for the deep, meaningful lyircs
Instead of saying “that’s the tea” we say “that’s the queso”

things people do in real world dialogue:
• laugh at their own jokes
• don’t finish/say complete sentences
• interrupt a line of thought with a sudden new one
• say ‘uh’ between words when unsure
• accidentally blend multiple words together, and may start the sentence over again
• repeat filler words such as ‘like’ ‘literally’ ‘really’ ‘anyways’ and ‘i think’
• begin and/or end sentences with phrases such as ‘eh’ and ‘you know’, and may make those phrases into question form to get another’s input
• repeat words/phrases when in an excited state
• words fizzle out upon realizing no one is listening
• repeat themselves when others don’t understand what they’re saying, as well as to get their point across
• reply nonverbally such as hand gestures, facial expressions, random noises, movement, and even silence
Excellent sticky note for dialogue writing in fiction.
All of this. I get a lot of compliments on my dialogue and this list pretty much covers what I do (but some of it, I didn’t even realize I did, lol). I highly recommend reading your dialogue aloud (or imagining it in realtime like a movie scene) to see if it feels natural, which is what I do when editing.
