Why today was so important for Niall

I see everyone being like “aww so cute he played caddie for his friend and says its up there with the best moments of his life” but today was so much more:

1. He got a chance to meet the best of the best golf players (Palmer, Nicklaus, Wood, etc.)

2. All the other players had their children with them, while Rory McIlroy asked HIM to be his caddie. He knew how much it would mean to Niall to be there.

3. Niall was caddie for the world #1 golf player. I know Rory is his friend, but that still means a lot!

4. The Masters is the biggest tournament in golf. It’s where they determine the global setting for all the other cups.

5. Augusta is one of the most beautiful and exclusive place in golf world. Niall got to walk it and even take a swing.

For golf lover Niall, there’s no doubt this was among the best days of his life.

As for why he said “do i have to talk” (or whatever) before that interview, it’s because it’s not his place. He wanted to let his friend shine, because Rory is the star here. Niall knew he wasn’t there to be a popstar and he didn’t want to keep the shine from the real star there (which is an awesome friend move)
