@guestgrey Oh my goodness, thank you so much for your supportive comments! 😭And RIGHT?! Honestly, one of my favorite things to see in animation is hybrid work (2D + 3D, etc.) or mixed media/utilizing live action footage or stop motion. I looooooveeee it. Just so unique, love to see the confines of a medium pushed.

I know in my game I intend to keep that factor relevant to some degree myself! Intend, keyword, lmao. It's been SO fun getting in the practice stylistically with this stuff. Only con is there's only so much free stock footage online. 🤣 But, we PERSIST! We'll make it happen!

Side tangent, but if you like the style of my work, I'd totally recommend checking out The Tatami Galaxy, even if it's just these few images, hehe. MASSIVE inspiration.

Sorry for not having updates here after a LONG while. This project maaay have to indefinitely go on a hiatus. I am swamped in work already for my new job! (The year hasn't even started yet, just planning + grad school!) Soooo... might have to say goodbye to development for a while. Or simply pace it much slower. We'll see what happens, folks.

You know, rambling here but. I'm realizing a lot of expressionist paintings have inspired the desired direction of my art visually for this game. (And of my work in general lately, really.)

There really ought to be more modern expressionist art... it's like a nice medium inbetween total realism and total abstraction of a work. Smiles.

Like, just look at all these. That last one veers on more abstract, but I still like so muuuuuch how all these convey feeling over realism.

54. Are they more likely to do a good deed if they know it will be noticed or do they not care about acknowledgment?

Ooohh, this is such a good one. I would say Silver will do it anyway — even if it doesn't get acknowledgement. Ivan and him are pretty similar in that respect, on that same level with the topic both working in educative fields. Not exactly a field that sings your praises everyday.

61. If they could make people do whatever they wanted without any consequences, would they use that power and if so how?

Oh my GOODNESS, this is such a good one, Lake. I don't think he would, he's too upright for that. But if he could simply not resist the temptation — I think he'd definitely use it just to talk to Ivan again. That failsafe method of knowing everything won't fall apart if he talks to him again.

6. How well do they cope with the reality of their mortality?

Oh my god, surprisingly well. Maybe it's because in his own universe people are trying to play god, and he figures 150 years is simply more than enough — but he is rather content in his mortality. He is not distressed by it. In fairness, he is so young. Most people don't even worry about dying until they reach their 100s in the universe. He is 30 by comparison. One day it'll creep in though... one day. The same with Silver.

13. Is there a moral line they would never cross?

Hurting or exploiting his kids in any way. But also hurting or killing anybody. The general stuff. I know that sounds perplexing given what you've seen but... smiles. I promise it'll make sense.
