Lan Jiujiu au (but it's LQR trying to annoy his xiongzhang out of seclusion with increasingly unhinged methods each day for a week)
Day 1 -> Kneeling outside the door in a kowtow with a politely drafted request about how this unworthy disciple is not fit to be the acting sect leader, xiongzhang! Please come out and rescue him! (LXC and LWJ stare in concern, JYL just stares)
Day 2 -> Crying outside, playing up the poor little didi act, hoping that QHJ would take pity on him becase he does not want to be sect leader in all but name (LXC staring in concern as LWJ stares in disgust, JYL gives him soup after, you could connect it to a hc that JYL found WCZ's old recipe book which is where the soup comes from to make it angstier)
Day 3 -> Slams paperwork in through the window! Says that if you don't come out to do your work, I'll bring bring your work to you! QHJ deposits the finished paperwork outside the door in a neat pile by the end of the day.
Day 4 -> Goes to Caiyi to treat WWX, JYL and JC (his besties' son!!!! and the purple peoples' kids) to emperor's smile, ends up drunk on one cup and cries about how he can't even be mad at QHJ because he's so nice and actually did his paperwork when he asked. JYL pats his head. JC asks him if just doing paperwork once makes it ok to not have done so for the last decade or such? LQR goes on to menace Cloud Recesses and no one knows if they have the authority to punish the acting sect leader (WWX was the one who'd off-handedly mentioned messing around in CR, he didn't think he'd actually do it, WWX doesn't get punished because as his Lan-jiujiu, I'd given him permission)
Day 5 -> Throws in all the noise-talismans he bought from WWX into QHJ's hut and seals the doors (and windows) using another talisman he bought from him. Heads back and throws in a fart talisman too.
Day 6 -> Makes WWX scribe a letter saying that he's very sorry to inform Qingheng-jun of the untimely demise of his brother Lan Qiren and that Lan Xichen is now going to step up as Sect Leader in a few days with the apropriate ceremony. QHJ doesn't step out. WWX, JC and JYL get mad at his behalf. Even when I play corpse in the lake Jiang Cheng still pokes me with an oar to check if I'm alive or not how dare Qingheng-jun not even care!!!! Yeah I remember when I pretended to drown Wei Wuxian came in to check on me even though I'm the best swimmer among disciples, do you want me to go break your brother's legs, Lan-xiansheng? Not even acknowledging the message is cruel, we should feed Qingheng-jun to the frogs.
LQR : oh- no need, such sweet kids you are (he knew WCZ and JFM when he was a teen so he's not really concerned about the concerning games they've played) but also, why did I ever think that you *pointing at JC* were the normal Jiang?
JC : *shrugs* most people guess a-jie so you're less gullible than most
Day 7 -> Waits until the evening, then, just before curfew dumps a letter in through the window and sneaks out with WWX, JC and JYL to have an adventure, thinking, not my circus, not my monkeys.
