In my experience, people named after Greek goddesses are some of the most ethereal, chaotic forces I have ever encountered. Our Art Department’s nude model, for example, is a woman named Hera. She’s stunningly beautiful, rides a motorcycle as apparently her only vehicle, grows all her own food, and keeps bees, turtles, and a dog named Argus, who she walks around town with a peacock feather attached to his leash. I am thoroughly convinced she is not of this realm.

This another one of my favorites because of several reasons. The first is that this was my first full attempt without reference. I wanted to see what I could do from memory. The second is because of symmetry. I am really proud of how well I matched each side of this whole picture. Third and probably the most interesting is that I got it signed by Chris Sabat. He was so genuine and truly appreciated the piece. He said it was something different and he liked that. Then he signed it "Alyssa-- you are awesome! Majin Blue!!" With his name and then Vegeta's name. I was in such awe. It was amazing.
