Light's little trick of making his desk catch fire to hide the Death Note is actually SO STUPID. He explained that if someone managed to find out the false bottom beneath the normal diary and triggered the trap and was questioned about it, he'd tell them that it was his real diary full of his actual secrets or something. WHAT? Would that not make him more suspicious????? From an outsider's perspective, it'd just look like he had something REALLY horrible to hide to the point where he had to make his desk explode...... Buddy if you're trying to hide the notebook that incriminates you as a mass murderer by setting it aflame once someone finds it and saying it was a diary, that very someone is going to think you WROTE something that incriminates you as a mass murderer 💔🥀 He's lucky this trap was never triggered or found
