what is it with disabled people=different age than they actually are?
like no that intellectual disabled young adult doesn’t have “the mind of a 7 year old” they have the mind of a young adult who happens to be intellectually disabled.
and no, that chronically ill/mobility aid user young adult doesn’t have to body of an elderly person, they have the body of a young adult who happens to be chronically ill/using a mobility aid.
stuff like this is why we still have ableds coming to disabled people and either going “what are you a baby lol” or “arent you too young for that”
when can we just accept that all bodies and brains can have different types of experiences and requirements and it says nothing about age.
(This post does not apply to disabled people who refer to themselves in these ways.)
