Manacle Inspo

Around 5,000 years ago, an item of great power was stolen from one of the temples, the Manacle of Horus. It was said that it was older than the Millennium Items. For years, it was lost, until it was found alongside the Millennium Puzzle. The Puzzle went to Yugi and the Manacle to Sora. There was one problem. While the Manacle didn't have a spirit attached to it, once it was put on, it couldn't be removed, unless someone read the incantation from the Scrolls of Hermopolis, which were lost to the sands of time. Sora had to leaen how to control the magic of the Manacle alongside her brother and friends to help save the world.

Now, after putting Atem to rest, Sora decides to keep the Manacle, learning new techniques and spells, just in case they need to help save the world again. Nothing stays peaceful for long, especially after a certain CEO messes with space and time, opening portals to other realities or alternate universes. She feels like she's ready to face whatever comes out of those, as long as she has her brother and her friends by her side.

Sora stiffened and nodded.

"Understood...Mr. Kaiba."

It felt little weird to revert back to calling him that rather than his first name, despite only saying it twice. She met his cobalt blue with her watery amethyst, keeping her tears at bay. If she cried in front of him, she would never forgive herself. She was stronger than that. She wondered what was going on his head when she noticed him frown and then turn his attention behind her to her desk. Ah. The artwork. She almost forgot about that, keeping her voice steady as she answered him.

"Of course, Mr. Kaiba."

The hidden Manacle on her wrist pulsed with warmth. Almost like it was...Sora couldn't decipher it as Seto turned from her again, saying that he'll be in touch and leaving the room. She released a breath that she didn't realize that she was holding, her hand going to her desk to keep her upright while her hand before hovered her mouth, taking a few shaky breaths to keep from crying because, gods damn it, she's not a high school teenager anymore and shouldn't be crying like this. It took a few minutes before she regained her composure, turning and sitting at her desk to put the finishing touches on her artwork and sending it off to the distribution department. After that, she packs up her things, noticing that the Manacle of Horus had chosen now to reveal itself. She frowned down at it.

"Really?"

It pulsed, as if it was mocking her. Sora shook her head when her phone goes off. She looks at the unknown number and then the text. She pauses as she closes her office door, locking. How did he get her number? She scoffed, not wanting to know and making her way to the elevator to head downstairs, sending a text back.

Saving his number in her phone, she steps out of the elevator and starts making her way home, thankful that were still people put at this time of night. Whispering the invisibility spell, the Manacle fades from sight, putting her mind more at ease for the time being. Now she doesn't have to worry about getting mugged. Maybe she should take her motorcycle next time.

Two weeks later

Sora sighed, leaning back in her chair in her office on the tenth floor of the KaibaCorp building. She looked up at the ceiling in thought. The arcade cabinets were released earlier than expected and were a huge success. Seto...no. Mr. Kaiba should be proud. And the reviews on the artwork, on her hard work paid off. She smiled a little as the Manacle, hidden on her wrist warmed with agreement. It was both a blessing and a curse having to forever wear the damn thing but she can deal.

Her phone vibrating on her desk breaks her out of her thoughts, sitting up and looking at the screen. She takes a deep breath before standing up and putting her phone in her pants pocket. She knew what was about to happen and therefore took the liberty on clearing out her office little by little over the two weeks. Since she took her motorcycle with her today, she only needed a backpack with a few things and she's set. She grabs her work bag and leaves the room , making her way to the elevator and going to the top floor.

Sora walks over to the secretary's desk, informing them that she was there for an appointment with Mr. Kaiba. They nod and gesture her onwards. She knocks on the door twice to announce her presence. She opens the door and makes sure to close it behind her before approaching Seto's desk. She kept the look on her face professional.

"You wanted to see me, Mr. Kaiba?"

Kaiba had been pacing back and forth for a few minutes, finally settling on just standing with his back to door, staring out at the city. When the door opened, he looked over his shoulder to see that it was her.

Of course, he knew it was her, he instructed his secretary to not let anyone but her into his office at that time and to hold all of his calls. With the success of the latest project, he could relax a little bit...The company could take a small bit of a break from his life. He could go on a vacation like Mokuba had been begging him to do for months....And he could finally have her.

When the door shut behind her, he strode over to where she was standing and pulled her into his arms before pressing his lips to hers. That night from two weeks ago came rushing back to him, like no time had passed. He remembered why he was doing all of this, why he went to all this trouble...Her. The way she felt in his arms, he had to have that feeling again, had to make her admit that she was his...

"I know that you've been cleaning out your office over the past couple of weeks...And from your attire, I can see that you rode that motorcycle of yours. Before you ask, yes..I know about it, your brother is constantly talking to his team members about how he wishes you would just get a car instead and said gossip somehow made it's way back to me..." He breathed in her ear after pulling away from the kiss.

"Since you decided to do that, we're going to be a bit delayed. I'm not happy about this but there's nothing I can do. Take your motorbike and go home and wait for me to message you. While you're waiting, send your resignation letter to your team lead. I'll explain more to you later, you're on a need-to-know basis for now..." He went to pull away from her, but pulled her close to him instead, pressing another hot kiss to her lips. He held her there for a minute or two before finally pulling away, returning to face the window with his back towards her. "The sooner you get going, the sooner you'll know what's going on." He flatly informed her, hoping to hurry her up a bit.

Sora watched Seto as he strode towards her, wondering what he was going to say or do. She gasped in surprise when he pulled her into his arms and pressing his lips to hers. Her hands came up to cup his face as her eyes fluttered closed. She glanced down at her attire when he breathed in her ear. That kiss made her knees weak.

"It was better than walking today..."

She looked back at him as she tilted her head, curious. His choice of words made her interest peak. She nodded before being pulled back into another kiss, a soft quiet moan leaving her. She was slightly breathless as he pulled away from her and turning away from her and facing the window. Not quite knowing how to answer him, she pulled herself together.

"Of course, Mr. Kaiba. I'll go ahead and be on my way."

She turned to leave, looking back over her shoulder at him one more time before opening the door and leaving, the door closing behind her. She nods once in the secretary's direction and getting on the elevator and heading back to her office to grab her backpack with the rest of her stuff and heading down to the parking garage. She straddles her bike, but on a visor helmet. The helmet had a Buster Blader and a Dark Paladin on it. She managed to do the artworks herself. She pulled out after putting her gloves on and starting the engine, the familiar roar and purr of it echoing of the walls and heading home.

After arriving home, Sora changed out of her biker attire, opting for a tank top and shorts as she sits down on the couch with her phone next to her. Her apartment was modest. Somewhat. A few posters hung along the walls in the loving room. Duel Monsters to rock bands; Motley Crue, KISS, Def Leppard, etc. And a few Duel Monsters trophies. Mostly third place and a couple of second places. She turns on her tv to put on some background music, sending in her resignation.

"I must be out of my damn mind..."

After she left the room, Kaiba immediately texted his driver to have his limousine pulled around to the private parking garage that was reserved for his limousine or if he decided to drive himself to KC Headquarters, or if there was an important client that needed to arrive to his office directly.

He packed his briefcase and got into his private elevator, getting down to his limo in a short few minutes. His driver brought him to the mansion, but during the ride, he instructed his pilot and personal hangar staff to get his Gulfstream G700 ready for a flight...To Hawaii. He returned to the mansion briefly, taking a shower and changing into something a tad bit more casual and tropics appropriate. He slipped on a pair of tan slacks over a pair of dark brown suede chelsea boots. He chose a simple dark blue short sleeve button down for his shirt, and completed the look with a pair of Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses and one of his less expensive Rolex watches, one only costing ten thousand dollars instead of the ones that costed seventy-five to a hundred thousand dollars he normally wore.

(Ignore that this is Priest Seto, he also doesn't have the shirt unbuttoned that far lmao) Just over half an hour later, he was back in his limo, on the road to Sora's apartment, the address of which he found through not so legal means just like her phone number.

[TXT] -> Sora Muto 'I'm on my way, wear something for hot climates. Be ready to leave when I get there.' He shot her a message as his limo rode along. Not much longer and she'd be with him again....He wanted to taste her lips again...Immediately.

Sora had gotten up and decided to do some cleaning around her apartment while she waited for Seto to message her. She still couldn't believe that she just sent in her resignation. For what? She aighed for what felt like the hundredth time as she wiped down the kitchen counters while a song played on the tv.

Contrary to some, she didn't just listen to rock and heavy metal. She listened to a variety of songs. Her phone vibrating in her pocket has her pulling it out and looking at the message in confusion. Dress for hot climates?

[TXT] -> Seto Kaiba 'Ok? Are we going somewhere?'

She stared at her phone after sending that text when another thought occurred to her; how did he know her address? She shook her head after a minute, her gut instinct telling her that she should also pack a suitcase. Just in case. The Manacle sent a pulse of coolness in agreement.

Sora changes into a pair of Levi's jean shorts and a graphic tank top while also pack a medium suitcase. Afterwards, she puts on a bit of makeup. Foundation, black eyeliner and she went with a blue eyeshadow this time. She puts her hair up in a ponytail before slipping on ankle socks and a pair of Sketchers. She makes sure the Manacle is invisible as she slips on a pair of fishnet gloves, a choker with a metal heart ring and grabs her skull and crossbones sunglasses. She makes sure she has everything before sitting on her couch and waiting.

She wouldn't be waiting for too long. About ten minutes after she sat down on her couch, she would get another message.

[TXT] -> Seto Kaiba 'I'm here, don't take forever.'

He folded his arms as he crossed a leg over the other. He would wait for her, but he wouldn't let her dilly-dally about....They had a plane to catch, it didn't matter that she didn't know this yet.

Sora looked at the new message and frowned. Why won't he tell her where they're going? She looks at her suitcase, wondering if she should really take it or not. Something told that she should so she gets up and leaves her apartment, turning off everything and locking her door behind her. She takes the elevator since she lives on the 8th floor.

"What is Seto thinking?..."

She mutters to herself as she steps off the elevator, pulling her suitcase along as she exits the building, mildly surprised when she's a limo. She places her sunglasses over her eyes as she rolls said eyes, making her way to it. Is she supposed to open the door herself or let the driver do so?

Thankfully, Kaiba didn't have to wait too long for her to come down from her apartment. He scoffed to himself at her choice of clothing. She normally remained very professional at work, but it was clear that she was into the same manner of dress that her brother was.

His driver was in fact standing next to the limo as she approached, and opened the door for her as he ushered her inside. The driver closed the door behind Sora and moved around to the front of the stretch limousine, getting behind the wheel once more and driving away from the curb. "Hawaii...We're going to Hawaii." Was all Kaiba said to her, arms still folded. He wanted to pull her into his arms yet again...But he had to show some sort of restraint, didn't he?

Sora put her suitcase in first. There was room and she wasn't sure if she should put it in the trunk. She sits in the long seat on Seto's right, setting her sunglasses behind her bangs before blinking over at the man.

"Hawaii?"

She looks around the interior of the limo, having never been in one before. She frowns slightly. Why was Seto taking her and not Mokuba?

"Mr. Kaiba-I mean, Seto..."

It was ok to use his first name, right? She was a bit nervous.

"I thought you would want to take Mokuba. I'm...quite frankly, curious...on why I'm going?"

Cobalt eyes flicked down to the suitcase as she climbed into the limo and they started on their way to the airport. Kaiba supposed it didn't hurt for her to bring it, he was going to buy her whatever she wanted for clothes, but he never minded having one less tedious responsibility to do. He scoffed a bit when she went to call him 'Mr. Kaiba' again. "I'm not your boss...You don't have to call me that." Kaiba looked at her over the top of his sunglasses, almost amused look in his eyes. "Because I'm curious to see how big of a crush you have on me. I find it intriguing that my rival's beloved sister has harbored these feelings for me for several years." His eyes narrowed slightly, smirk moving across his face. "And because I want to taste you again..." In a swift motion, he reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her into his lap. He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers in one of those kisses he couldn't get enough of. He slid his tongue along her bottom lip...Asking to be let in, albeit somewhat forcefully.

Her hands rested on her knees, thoughts racing. Her eyes widen when she sees the look Seto gives her over his sunglasses and the smirk that takes over his features.

Kaiba didn't know what it was, how things changed two weeks ago when he heard her mumble about having a crush on him. At first, he just wanted to tease her...Make her sweat a bit, scare her a little. But when he kissed her, all of that went out the window. She was unlike any other woman he'd ever held in his arms. She lit a fire inside him when their lips touched, and he was addicted to it now. Sure, he'd always thought she had a nice body, he was objective about things, but he could say the same thing about Yugi's cheerleader, Wheeler's sister, Ishizu Ishtar, and even that Valentine woman...Who he still was unsure how a mutt like Wheeler managed to get fall in love with him. All of them had bodies that men desired. Perhaps in another timeline it was one of them here in his arms inside of his limo as it drove to the airport where his G7 was being prepped to go to Hawaii....But that wasn't this timeline, not this reality. He slid his tongue into her mouth, his arms moving to trail up her back as he intertwined both of their tongues together. He held the kiss for nearly two minutes before pulling away, moving to suck on her neck and plant little bites there. He inhaled her scent and it caused him to let out a hiss of desire, continuing on with his attack on her neck. "So is it like you always fantasized about? Being in my arms? Knowing now that those looks you gave me when I dueled your brother and The Pharaoh...Those weren't stares of hatred, they were stares of need...of desire." He cooed evilly into her ear before giving it a light nip.

Sora moaned lightly as Seto's tongue intertwined with hers. His taste was minty, almost icy. Fitting for a man like him. She was already breathless as he pulled away and moved to her neck.

She bit her lip, a hand coming up to muffle her moans, remembering that they're in his limo. Her other hand gripped his shoulder, pressing herself closer to him with restraint. They weren't exactly alone and she didn't want the driver to listen in on this. She nodded shakily.

"Y-Yes..."

Sora didn't know how else to answer. Her mind was quickly becoming slightly foggy with want and need, fighting to keep at least some form of dignity. Her amethyst eyes darkening and becoming half-lidded.

Her taste was the opposite, fruity and warm. Kaiba wanted to taste it again...Taste her again. He wasn't sure exactly what this woman did to him to make him want her like this...But he honestly didn't care, not at the moment anyway. He raised an eyebrow as he watched her cover her mouth. He moved a hand up and pulled her own hand away from her mouth. "If you're trying to stifle your moans, you're wasting your time...The driver can't hear us. That glass between the front of the limousine and back here is soundproof." He moved in to plant more kisses along her neck, then down to her clavicle and along the top of her cleavage. "Tell me what you would think as you stared at me Sora...Tell me the thoughts running through your head. I want to know...Tell me everything about your feelings for me. Every last detail." He would say in between kisses.

She tilted her head back slightly as he told her to tell him what she thought of him. Oh, dear gods. How was she supposed to think, let alone speak with him giving her attention like this? In his lap and in the back of his limo. A small moan escapes her as she regains her composure long enough to voice her thoughts.

"I thought that you looked so handsome, a look that demanded respect. The hard edge to your voice would always make me shudder..."

She had a blush on her face that spread to the tips of her ears as she continued.

"...the way you treat Mokuba with a fondness that you don't show anyone else. I thought it made you look even more charming. And yes, you had a certain charm...even now..."

Her mind was starting to slip, a little shy and embarrassed to share the thoughts she's harbored for a while. A little nervous about what her brother would think if he knew.

A smirk moved across Kaiba's face as he listened to Sora talk. It was that iconic 'Kaiba smirk' that so many on the dueling field as well as the board room had fallen victim to over the years. "Well, I'm glad someone in the Muto family recognizes my talents...The fact that it's you makes it all the better."

He laughed, it being the equally iconic and evil 'Kaiba cackle'. The same one dozens of opponents would hear when their life points hit zero, as well as corporate rivals when his products would succeed while theirs failed.

That was, until she mentioned Mokuba. He stopped, cobalt eyes getting a puzzled look to them as they started up into amethyst ones. She didn't just like his looks and his commanding presence...She liked that he did everything and anything he could to make his brother happy. No other woman had ever said that to him...Ever. He pushed the mushy thoughts to the back of his mind, pulling her down into a kiss for a minute or two before pulling away. "Speaking of Mokuba...You asked about him earlier. Mokuba will be coming to Hawaii in a few days. Sorry to say, but you'll be stuck with me until then...That is, if you actually want to go to Hawaii with me. Say the word and I'll have my driver pull over and let you off with enough money to get a cab or Uber back to your apartment." He informed her, remember he never really gave her an option to refuse him, which wasn't normally his style. He wouldn't force himself on her...He wasn't him.

She pondered the question as he pulled away, fingers lightly playing with a few strands of his hair. Hawaii sounded amazing, a few days with just him and her and then Mokuba. It didn't sound too bad. She smiled at him and nodded her consent.

Kaiba knew the answer already - He didn’t have to urge to go all the way currently, but he did want to tease her some. It would make an entertaining lunch time activity for him.

Sora blinked in surprise. Oh. She guesses that this is happening now. She yelps slightly as Kaiba picks her up by her waist and sets her on a table. Laying down, she looks up at him. She blushes from the tone in his voice and she nods.

"I've been good..."

Her voice was always quieter and soft when he spoke to her like that, especially with the position that they're in.

“You should come work for me. Then you could always be nearby.” Seto tapped the side of his helmet, meaning his audio communication with his agency. It wasn’t always on, but was there when needed. Kaiba could keep an “eye” on her that way, too.

Sora melted under Kaibaman's flirtations. But she wasn't complaining and she had to stifle a moan from the image that formed in her head.

"Gods, you are such a tease."

She appeared to be thinking about his offer for suspense before nodding and smiling at him.

"All right. Just name the time and place and I'll be there to apply."

“The time is now & the place is here. You’re hired. Report to Kaiba Corp HQ on a future weekday for onboarding.”

“I actually need a objective game tester for a video game I’m planning to publish. I think you’ll be perfect for that.” He chuckled.

Sora blinked, wide-eyed before grinning and laughing. Sometimes Kaibaman can be a bit much.

"I'll be there tomorrow. Is that ok?"

She contemplates for a minute and nodded.

"I'd be happy, too. Can't wait to work with you and test that game for you."

“After, you can do graphic design work. I have lots of projects planned that need a fresh eye - like updating everything in my cafe for the fall.” He didn’t want to bore people who already visited in the summer.

“I plan to keep you very busy, Sora.”

Sora blinked and thought for a second. That was going to be a huge undertaking. But she thinks she can do it.

"All right. I just need to know the theme."

She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. A smile did light up her face.

The next week, same time, same place, Pelike had a mannequin with her clothes on it in his office.

“Please try the entire outfit on in the dressing room there & model it for me afterwards. Also, let me know if any part of it doesn’t look nor feel right.”

Mode explained with a bow. He looked tired.

Sora stepped into the office, immediately her jaw drops on awe. The outfit was beautiful! She turned to look at Mode, smiling in thanks.

"Will do! And thank you!"

She stops short when she noticed how tired he is. Her smile soon to turned to a frown of concern.

"Are you all right?"

“Yes. I’m fine.” He nodded. “I’m sick. Um, it’s nothing contagious - it’s just something I have to cope with. Please, try on the outfit.”

He opened a bottled water & drank some before sitting down nearby. Maybe he’d cancel some of his later appointments today. Sorry Mic.

Sora continued looking at Mode before relenting and carefully removing the outfit from the mannequin. She gave one last look of concern to the man.

"If you say so..."

She hesitated slightly before going over to the dressing room, shutting the door behind her. She sets her bag down and hangs the outfit up so she could change into it. A few minutes later, she walked out. The outfit fit her well. It wasn't too tight.

"It fits really well. Thank you again."

“I’m glad.” He smiled a little once she was out in the outfit. “Well, if it doesn’t need any changes, it’s all yours.”

“So, I did read that you work for Kaiba Corp. Are you, by chance, stopping by your office today? I do have something to give Kaiba, but I’m unsure when I can make it over there.” Thankfully it wasn’t due right away.

Sora looked at her outfit again and sent a bright smile towards Mode.

"Thank you again."

She nodded. Unfortunately, she had to. Apparently, there was something wrong with one of the promos for an upcoming tournament and Kaiba wanted it fixed today, which is yesterday in his book.

"I am. If you want, I can drop it off for you."

He dug into his desk & pulled out a bag.

“I appreciate it.”

Inside was a pair of Kaiba Corp. themed trunks, speedo, bikini, & bathing suit, one sample each.

“Im not sure if what I’m making is a secret or not, but it’s a swim line for his company. Summer is almost over so I hope he approves it soon.”

Pelike got up to lead her out unless she needed anything else.

Sora walked over to Mode's desk, shaking her head.

"It's no problem, really."

She smiled and gently took the bag. She's going to have to restrain herself from looking in the bag.

"Oh! I hope so, too. I'm sure he'll approve of them."

“Actually, I have a better idea. Heh. Why not come visit Kaiba Land America with me? I need to check on its progress anyway. We’ll have a nice trip, just you & I.” Though he’d mostly be working.

Sora sighed, enjoying the closeness that is sometimes rare. She tilted her head slightly to look up at him.

"Sure! I'd love to go!"

She smiled brightly at him. Deep down, she knew that he was going to bring his laptop with him so he could also work. He was such a workaholic.

“Let’s leave Monday.” Though it sounded like a command, it was negotiable.

The hand holding her side slid down to rub the side of her nice leg.

“My marketing department is concentrating on advertising the parks right now, but I could hire you to do some other graphic design work for me.”

His eyes were dilating a little as he stared at her.

Sora hummed as she thought, running through her schedule and plans in her mind.

"I don't have anything on Monday. Sounds like a plan."

She nodded as her hand lightly caressed his chest. She liked being able to touch him when able. She looked up at him. And...oh, she knew that look.
